The candlewick danced in the moonlit night, even at these late hours. The streets of the Human Village are not always quiet; the dead are moved on poles under their arms now, with priests at the head and tail of the procession. More shady clients hunker down at their favorite bars, dice in hand, waiting for another sucker to make a bet. And elsewhere, from the faint glows of red lights, beautiful faces entice men into bars that smell of flower oils and agarwood. High-end places where the cups never run empty, the party simply moves into a smaller room with a bed, and boys are turned into men with a mischievous smile.

Yet, you are not in any of these places tonight.

Tonight’s a bit of an interesting one. A friend who frequents your forge told you about a place that guarantees to hook you up with a date.

Its slogan? “You won’t be walking home alone tonight.”
The catch? It's targeted towards super isolated men like yourself.

And who can blame you? Life in Gensokyo as a new resident has been more of a hassle than you bargained for! Monsters at the edge of the forests? Battles that light the sky in magic bullets at 3 AM? For a sorta average Joe like you, it's almost a miracle you were able to afford your new place inside the Village Walls.

But as for your social life…

Eh…

And forget about your dating life. It almost feels like every girl here has either been promised to someone or is already married to a guy.

Even the ones who looked barely out of childhood, as one patron at your smithing stand had mentioned offhandedly. You'd learned not to ask too many questions about village customs.

This, you thought, was your shot–your moment to show someone you’re worth the time and place. A chance to crawl out of this awkward shell you made and hopefully meet someone new.

“Room… room 14?”

That’s your cue, Tiger.

You open the door with a smile, only to be stopped by the most gorgeous blonde you have ever met in your life. You barely even notice the delicate dress she is in, the red ribbon tying her hair, getting lost in her golden irises.

She barely blinks back.

You both stand there, frozen in time and space.

What do you do:

[ ] Greet her. Well don’t be rude, you nincompoop. Do something suave!

[ ] Keep staring. Maybe she’ll come up with something. After all, ladies first.

[ ] Wild card. Do something off script.

[ ] Dice. Pray your luck holds tonight.

Femoid spotted. Don't move a muscle. Her vision is based on sight.

Is wild card supposed to be a write in option?
