You are Patchouli Knowledge, a physically frail and sickly magician of profound aptitude and power. You live in the Voile Archives of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, though it seems like a temporary relocation is in your near future. You are Friends with Remilia, the vampire who owns the mansion, who considers it entirely too much effort to try to feed off you. Your Magical Potency varies somewhat from day to day, depending on how long of an incantation you can manage before breaking off into a fit of coughs, and how much strain your body can handle in addition to the rigors of illness. You currently have one vial of Medication to offset the worst of the days, however, though it will later exact a toll, and your new Magical Focus eases use of magic to a significant degree. It seems that Luck can play a reasonable part in keeping yourself healthy, as can the Hakurei Hot Spring.
Your magic is based on Elementalism primarily, though you are also skilled in Diabolism and Other Summonings, which can be surprisingly versatile, particularly in combination with Golems. You can also create Homunculi, if you have the materials to hand.
You have recently allowed Kappa to do as they please with your vehicle while you Completed Yukari's order, which she immediately collected in exchange for a small pillar, tiny but ornate chest, and key. You cannot help but feel some worry as to what she will use the golems for. You have also had Marisa prepare two types of healing elixirs, you estimate about a dozen of each, and had a startling conversation with the Hakurei shrine maiden.
Following this, you returned to the library and slept, in preparation for the new day.
---
The day is Aug 24, 8 days to term.
It is Wednesday: Day of Water.
--Yamame, Hot Springs+10
Your health level is 80/100: Reasonably good, so long as you ignore the mild nausea.
---
You wake with a slight headache from yesterday's drink, though it will pass quickly. A quick check with Koakuma reveals that Tewi hasn't arrived yet, though you expect her and the medicine shipment soon. The witch and spider are both still asleep, and it seems like the former took some time to stitch the hole in her outfit back together. Now would be a good time to consider any general plans for the outing.

Why the sudden rush for building a house? We already have other plans for the day. Not to mention it's the day of water, so unless we're planning on making some super-fancy plumbing, we should probably hold out for earth or wood. For that matter, why do we even need our own place on the grounds? Yes, the sleeping quarters we were offered are completely useless, but what about our office? If memory serves, the DADA classroom comes with an attached office, and we could easily craft and ward a large cabinet or something similar to keep the portal concealed. This would also have the benefit of being mundane enough to not raise any questions, while a house would definitely attract the attention of curious students and who knows what else. |

Sufficient derailment would likely prove enough of a distraction to cause her to forget about it entirely. |

There's no deceit here. Marisa was asking if trading one's humanity for an extended lifespan was worth it, Patchy said she couldn't answer as she'd never been human(along with an accompanying mindset) in the first place. Alice might be a somewhat better person for her to ask, but she has the mitigating factor that her mother is the Queen of Hell, so she might not be able to give Marisa advice either. |
