Pretty stinky most likely. Touhous need to exercise with their danmaku to not stagnate and that signifies lots of physical activity in acrobatics. A lack of the modern day sanitary supplies would hinder cleaning either themselves or their habitats, which would lead to a generally worse odor.

Of course, it depends on the specimen. Take one like Okuu for example. She's smell really ashy from working in the remains all day, but not really smelly in the typical sense due to being in contact with such extreme heat as micro-organisms and the things they feed off get incinerated.

Well, not every character has access to perfumes or plumbing a lot of them are yokai after all...

Fairies fight a lot, but they also die a lot, so maybe their smelliness gets reset every time they die so it doesn't build up?

Youkai I definitely concede would be smelly, except for the very well off ones like Remilia or Yukari (ZUN, she is not smelly, you've had too much to drink, go to bed.) Or ones that live in the human village like Keine and Sekibanki.

Gods probably smell pretty good, even poor gods like the Aki sisters take pride in their smell, with Minoriko wearing freshly harvested sweet potato perfume. I'd imagine all the other gods would similarly want to smell nice to improve their image for worship, except maybe Hina who is reclusive. She smells like pine. I have no idea about perfumes so I can't really say anything about this though...

The smell of a touhou, as any irl person, is transient and changes... on that note, what do you think touhous would prefer and aim to smell like (like preferred perfumes and scents, different soaps and whatever) on top of what they would end up smelling like due to what they do on a day to day? For example, the good lady Hijiri probably wears a pleasant neutral scent so as not to distract from meditation, but obviously after physical exertion she'd probably end up sweaty and smelly.
