That Sanae Story in /Youkai/ That guy who writes the Sanae story in Youkai !Oxm7qXSCZg 2009/12/08 (Tue) 22:56 No. 13017 ▼ File 126031300463.png - (330.59KB, 486x576 , b76cb79b96037fb09aa149e3cb5db863.png)
With the sounds of rustling clothing so nearby, the urge to peek is almost overwhelming. But is this what I came for? Really? All this time to find Sanae just to get a cheap thrill? No. Peeking on her now would be wrong and a complete perversion of the time I spent looking for her. So as much as I'd like to take a look, I'm not going to. To further remove myself from the temptation I walk across the hall and lean against the wall there. Good. I've removed myself from the temptation, and now I can more easily and safely combat the desire. Though... I wonder what costume she's going to start with.... Nurse? Bunny Girl? Police woman? Or something far more exotic. My mind wanders. The possibilities are endless, especially with that closet of hers...
I'm temporarily knocked out of my reverie by the appearance of Suwako. She looks at me funny as she approaches, but waves and greets me as she walks past, continuing on to wherever it is she was going.
Hm. I wonder which outfit Sanae'd look best in? Something too showy would be nice eye candy, but wouldn't actually be a very good outfit for her. Keeping her modesty while showing off the good points of her body, that would be the best costume. Tight, but not form fitting, Revealing, without being a celebration of skin. The modesty is absolutely key. If she loses that completely, it makes her no different than any of those models. Hum... Her normal outfit covers too much, but really, a bikini would cover too little... Maybe one of those American cheerleader outfits? It would show off her legs nicely, and is relatively form fitting, but without being too... Mn, what's the word... Risqu?" Come to think of it, I've never seen her in anything other than her shrine clothes or a school uniform... So even regular clothes would be cosplaying a little bit...
My reverie was once again shattered by the appearance of a Goddess. This time, however, I didn't even take note of her approach until it was too late. I only became aware of Kanako when her face was barely a couple of inches from mine. Had I the room, I would have jumped back. Instead, I settled for plastering myself against the wall.
"WAUGH!."
Kanako took a step back, but didn't show any other outward signs of being surprised at my outburst. "What," She reclaimed that step back, firmed up her stance and crossed her arms. "Are you doing out here?"
"Uh...I'm waiting for Sanae to finish changing."
"Mmm. I wonder if that's all you're doing. You've a strange look about you. And perverted look upon your face."
"I don't know what you mean."
It was obvious that Kanako didn't belive me. I really wasn't being perverted, well, not that perverted at least. Not in an overt manner? I don't think considering what outfit Sanae would be wearing would be all that much of a perverted line of thought. It was simply consideration of what she'd look best in. Nothing perverted about that.
Sanae's door slid open and she poked her head out. She had a ribbon hanging from her mouth, and the blouse she had on was only half buttoned up and I could clearly see the supple curves of her upper body. The angle she was at, though, prevented me from being able to see what was on the lower half of her body.
?What's going on out here?" she mumbled around the ribbon, one hand still working on arranging her hair.
"Were you aware that this pervert was out here?" Kanako jerked her thumb towards me.
"Koizumi-kun? Yes, I knew he was out here. I was going to be modeling some of my outfits for him!" She smiled, now putting the ribbon into her hair. "Why?"
Kanako looked back and forth between Sanae and myself, a slight blush appearing on her face. "I-I didn't know you were into that sort of thing, Sanae. E-excuseme." Kanako excused her self and quickly disappeared down the hallway.
"Huh... I wonder what that was all abo..."Sanae finally seemed to realize that her blouse was still half open, she was hanging out into the hallway, and I could easily see the whole thing. "Kyaaaaaa!" The door slammed shut.
Well shit. The view was nice while it lasted... I hope she's not upset with me. I really hope that Kanako doesn't come running back either.
"K-Koizumi-kun..."Sanae's voice comes a moment later, muffled by the door. it's faint but I can still make out what she's saying.
"Uh... Yeah?"
"Did... Did you see anything?" She sounds slightly worried.

That guy who writes the Sanae story in Youkai !Oxm7qXSCZg 2009/12/09 (Wed) 22:57 No. 13076 Mn. I've always hated questions like this. Especially when girls ask them. There's never a right answer to them. I say yes, she gets upset that I was staring at her half naked body. I say no and she'll think me the liar, which will make her upset as well. So, I suppose there's only one way to handle this. An approach that I've never actually had the opportunity to try with a girl, so I have no idea how this is going to turn out.
"Well... Let's say this." I sigh. Here goes nothing. "If I answer yes, you'll be upset that I saw. However, if I say no, you'll think me the liar, and be upset as well. So why don't we go with, "I don't know what you're talking about? and leave it at that. Ok?"
I hear some movement from the other side of the door, but no response from Sanae.
"Sanae?" I venture hopefully.
"I'm still thinking your answer over, Koizumi-kun." There's a tone to her voice that I can't quite place. it's not anger, or even upset sounding... Thoughtful maybe? Playful? Mn... I just can't be sure with out seeing her.
I hear the sound of clothing rustling coming from the other side of the door.
"It was a very clever answer."
What is she getting at? "Um... I'm glad you liked it?"
Suddenly the door slid open, revealing a smiling Sanae. She was wearing what looked to be a police woman's uniform. Very, very nice. "I've decided that I'm not going to be mad at yo~u? She winked. "But if you do it again, I'm afraid I'll have to punish you! Lock you up for fifty years and throw away the key!" she giggled, swinging a pair of handcuffs around on her finger. "So don't even think about it, Ok?"
"Uh... O-ok." My cheeks reddened slightly.
She frowned and placed her hands firmly on her hips. "it's not, "ok? it's ?Yes ma?am!" Got it?"
"Y-YES MA?AM!"
"Good." She giggled again. "So, what do you think?"
"it's very, very nice." And it was. It was a bit tight, especially around the bust and the hips, but it wasn't skin tight. Her hair done up in that tight little bun with a yellow ribbon trailing down from it was exquisite, the tiny hat, perched on her head, only served to further accentuate the rest of the outfit. And now she's resumed spinning the hand cuffs on her finger again. She has the air of a police officer down pat.
"Don't stare so intently! it's making me embarrassed? Sanae's cheeks started flushing a deep red as she stopped swinging the handcuffs.
"I'm sorry, it's just that you're so..."So what? Pretty? Beautiful? Attractive? I don't want to scare her off, by coming on too strong, but I also want to complement her. "That outfit just looks so good on you, I can't help but stare." Oh god, did I really just say that? That has to be the single most cheesey line I can think of and I actually said it. Well, it was nice while it lasted. Too bad I...
"Really?!" Sanae brought her hands up to her cheeks and swings back and forth. "Ahhh! You're making me so embarrassed!" She giggles again, hiding behind her hands. "Ehehe, you're the first person I've really showed my costumes for. Mostly I just have Hina make them for me and I try them on in my room."
Wow. This girl is just... I don't even know. I don't... I haven't really met anyone like her before.
"Ohho. So this is what a priestess does in her free time." A new voice calls out, causing both sanae and me to freeze. We turn our heads, slowly, in tandum as a flash goes off.
"I never knew you were into this sort of thing, Sanae." Aya giggled. "I saw something nice, now I have to tell everyone~!"
Aya made to take off. Sanae dashed down the hall after her. "Wait, Aya! You can't do that!"
"Hehehe. And you're going to stop me? You know you can't catch me~"
"Fine then! I challenge you to a spell card duel for the pictures!"
Aya's mouth dropped open. "Wat."
"You heard me! I win, I get the pictures. You win, I'll let you take pictures of me in more outfits. Maybe even that duplicate I have of Momiji?s."
Aya looked torn. On one hand, she had the pictures. On the other hand, she could get much much MUCH better pictures if she won. But could she beat Sanae was the question mulling through her mind.
"Well..."
"How about I show you the replica I have of Reimu's outfit." Sanae sang out. That seemed to do it as Aya immediately stuck her hand out.
"You've got yourself a deal, priestess.."
I'd swear Aya was drooling.
"Umm..."I finally spoke up after their little conversation. "What's a uh... ?spell card? duel?" I was starting to get somewhat worried. Duels usually were violent things that ended with someone getting hurt, unless they were playing that freaky kids card game....
Aya looked at me like I was stupid. "How can you NOT know?"
"Oh Aya, he's new. Leave him be. I'll explain it to you later, Koizumi-kun, I just have to win back those pictures from Aya." She nodded definitively. "Don't worry, it's nothing dangerous. You can even come watch if you'd like."

I've had a murmur for a long while and it's just recently started to act up again. This is why I've been in and out of the hospital quite a bit lately. So no such luck for the insane genius writer, nor even the luck for a genius writer of the non-insane variety. Just lil' ol' me, 'That guy who writes the Sanae story in Youkai'. I'm working on the update now. I never really realized how hard it is to write a spellcard battle, and regret putting one in so soon. Lessons learned, and what not.

Anonymous 2010/01/29 (Fri) 16:30 No. 13671 I love thee good writefag. Where art thou?
That guy who writes the Sanae story in Youkai !Oxm7qXSCZg 2010/02/20 (Sat) 03:25 No. 14021 "I think that I'd like very much to watch this. So, how does this work? Do you two uh... Fight here or something? Or how does this work?"
"You know, it might just be easier to show you. C'mon Aya." Sanae started down the hall waving for the two of us to follow.
Aya followed, lacing her fingers and putting them on the back of her head. "Fine, fine. You sure you wanna lose in front of your boyfriend here though?" She snickered slightly.
"Oh, if you think this is going to be a repeat of last month's duel, you're sadly mistaken." Sanae winked back. I swear that a star flew away from the side of her eye.
Soon enough, we're all outside. Sanae lead us to an open area a little ways away from the shrine. This place seemed to be particularly cleared for something. Well, it's obvious now what it's been cleared for.
"So, who's gonna judge? Boyo over here doesn't know enough about the rules to be able to judge accurately."
"Hm? Oh, that's not a problem." Sanae smiled, "Suwako'll be doing it."
As if on cue, Suwako walked up to the three of us. "S'up?"
"Fine fine. Let's get this over with. Challenger leads." Aya kicked off the ground and floated up above the open area.
Sanae looked like she was preparing, rifling through a stack of card.
I don't know what came over me but I walked up next to her while she was sifting through the deck. "Hey. Good luck. I'll be cheering for you."
She smiled a soft smile at me. "Thanks. Oops. I think Aya's getting impatient. I should hurry." She slipped the deck into her sleeve and kicked off the ground into the air. It seemed that flying around here was unbelievably common. It was still a shock to see her propel herself up into the air. That just didn't happen at home.
"This should be a good fight," Suwako smirked, "Sanae lost to Aya last month, but that's 'cause Aya likes to pull out some... questionable tricks. Sanae wasn't prepared for it last time, but this time, she's a much better chance."
"Um. Ok?" I was still confused as to what actually took place during this so-called 'duel'. Somehow there was cards involved. And flying.
A bright flash of light caught my attention. Looking up quickly, I was surprised to see Aya shooting what appeared to be fireworks through the air. More amazingly, Sanae seemed to be dodging the fireworks. So apparently, these duels also consisted of shooting at one another. Sanae also seemed to be responding with her own fireworks too.
"They're called danmaku," Suwako stated from nowhere, as if reading my mind, "The little colorful lights. They're called danmaku. One hits 'ya and it'll hurt, but it won't really do any permanent damage. It's like... oh what did they call it... AH! Paintball. It's a nice little non-fatal way of resolving conflicts."
"Huh..." I had been about ready to step up and say something when Suwako interjected.
The colorful lights coming from Suddenly stopped. It seemed like she was getting ready to do something else. "???????" WIND GOD ?STORM DAY?"
Danmaku started to pour out of Aya, the sudden change didn't seem to take Sanae by surprise, but she seemed to be having trouble dodging properly. While she continued her assault, several near misses seemed to have shaken her visibly.
"DON'T GIVE UP!" I shouted, pumping my fist in the air.
Sanae nodded with out even looking at me. She redoubled her efforts and they seemed to really pay off. Aya was looking visibly tired by the barrage she was putting out.
Suwako stepped forward and raised her hand. "SPELL BREAK! Point goes to Sanae!"
In an instant the danmaku from Aya ceased. "Awww..."
"Woo hoo!" Sanae cheered, pumping her fist in the air.
"So, is that it?" I asked Suwako.
"Nope. Now it's Sanae's turn to defend, and Aya's turn to attack. If Sanae successfully manages to defend with out Aya 'breaking' her spell card, she'll win. Otherwise, another round'll start."
"I still don't quite get it..."
"Don't worry about it, kid. It takes some time to get used to it, especially if you can't participate in it. Alright! Round two! Start!"
This time, there was huge waves of danmaku coming from Sanae, while Aya seemed to float between them easily. It seemed she considered these waves of danmaku no more threatening than a stiff breeze.
"Seems that you're warmed up, Aya. Time for a little fun." There was a mischievous gleam in Sanae's eye. "?????????" GREAT MIRACLE ?YASAKA'S DEVINE WIND?"
"W-wait! You're gonna use that?! NOW!" WAUGH!" Aya weaved just as a wave of danmaku blasted through where she had been floating moments before. The air around Sanae was now sick with the little balls of light. Three different types as far as I could tell, which wasn't very well, really. It was chaos. Aya seemed to be having extreme trouble with it as well.
"Stop, stop! Seriously! Sto--ack!" Aya took a bullet straight to the face and started falling. She recovered a moment later, but the lights had stopped.
"Fault! Aya was hit! Sanae wins the duel!" Suwako calls out.
The pair float down to the ground. Sanae marches up to Aya and demands the pictures which are reluctantly turned over. She tucks them away into the inside of the costume she was still wearing.
"Did you see me, Koizumi-kun?" Sanae waved as she trotted over to where Suwako and I were standing, "Did you see it? I won! I can't believe I won! I haven't won against Aya in a long time!" She giggled.
"Wasn't that fun?"

All right, I revoted properly.
Now please, update?
That guy who writes the Sanae story in Youkai !Oxm7qXSCZg 2010/03/22 (Mon) 23:18 No. 14715 "That was quite a fight... err... I think. I must admit that I'm not really familiar with this sort of dueling at all. Are the fights all usually this short?"
"Nah, They're usually quite a bit longer. Three to Four spell cards per duelist is the norm." Suwako interjects before Sanae has a chance to reply. "Sanae must have really wanted to win. Pulling out the big guns this quick."
Sanae seems to be breathing quite hard now. "That's right..." an exhale. "Woo... Takes a lot out of you to start off with something like that. Maybe I should have stuck to Parting the Red Sea..." A few buttons on the jacket she's wearing come undone and she's fanning herself with her hand. "Well, I got my workout for the day..."
"So, uh... is Aya usually a challenging opponent?"
"Yeah, She's fast, and has a good eye from all the camera work she does. Gotta watch out for that one usually. But if you make it so she has nowhere to dodge, then you've got a good chance of winning."
"Wow. That sounds... really complicated."
Suwako shrugs. "Eh, not so bad once you get the hang of it. Anyways. I'm heading back inside. I was hoping for a better fight than this." Hands behind her head, Suwako strolls off whistling.
Well. It seems that Sanae really wanted to get those photos back. "I'm sorry." I bow apologetically to her.
"Huh?" Sanae looks confused. "Sorry for what?"
"If I hadn't wanted to see your costumes, none of this would have happened. I'm really sorry that I inconvenienced you like this." I bow again.
"Nonono! It's ok, really it's ok. Don't think anything of it. It's my fault for being so careless with my costumes in the first place. I mean, I shouldn't be traipsing about in them like I am right now." She seems to realize that she is, indeed, still wearing the police officer's uniform. "Ack! I have to go change. Really, don't worry about it. Aya would have snuck a picture sooner or later... Better that I get her in check now than have to deal with it being in her paper." She screws up her face. "I've managed to stay out of her racier articles... so far anyways. But I do need to go change. I'll see you later, ok, Koizumi-kun?"
"Ah, sure thing." I nod. "Where at?"
She turns back. "Oh, at dinner. It should be ready some time soon." And she's gone, back into the shrine. Aya left almost immediately after her apparently humiliating defeat, so that leaves me here alone. Wonder what I should do now?

-[x] "What do you do for fun around here? Aside from shooting technicolor light shows at one another."
-[x] "That's an awesome hat."
That guy who writes that story and forgot their trip 2010/05/08 (Sat) 02:16 No. 15708 You know, it's strange. Suwako has apparently known me most of my life, but I've never seen her before this. It just strikes me as kind of odd. With little idea of what else to do, I head off in the direction that Suwako had left.
Wandering for a bit brings me to the back of the shrine. There seems to be some sort of kitchen. Wonderful smells are wafting from within. The door stands slightly ajar. My curioity piqued, I stuck my head inside. The two goddesses that Hina had unceremoniosly dropped before you earlier. They seemed to be almost completely recovered. Goddesses are amazing things! Glancing around I catch sight of Suwako's hat. It seems like she's busy helping the other two girls. I turn to leave, trying to not disturb them.
Just before I did, though, Suwako called back over her shoulder, "don't be shy now, Koizumi-kun, come in and give a hand, would you kindly?"
Shrugging slightly, I walked inside.
"So, what're you making?"
"Little of this, little of that. Minoriko over there's making baked sweet potatoes, Shizuha's working on the main course, and I'm working on a little something special. Here," she shoved a bowl and a whisk into my hand, "Stir this."
"Ok." I do as instructed, "So, you seem to have known me forever yet I've never met you before this... why is that?"
Suwako smirks knowingly. "I was wondering when you were going to ask that. You're a smart boy~ But to answer your question, both Kanako and I were... we were more incoporeal then. We could watch the world go by, but not really affect anything. Nobody but Sanae could see or hear us. Not even her parents could hear us. Kind of sad really." Suwako leans on the counter setting down her bowl. She reaches over and takes the bowl from me. Upending both of them over a pan, she scrapes the bowls clean in silence.
"But that's not what you asked, really." Suwako speaks softly after sliding the pan into an icebox. "You probably don't realize this, but you actually have a
That guy who writes that story and forgot their trip 2010/05/08 (Sat) 02:55 No. 15710 good deal of spiritual energy. Well, for someone from outside Gensokyo. I had thought that i might have been able to communicate with you, but we weren't on the same wave-length. Unfortunately." she shrugs. "So i just ended up following you around, via Sanae."
I stand there, soaking up that information. "So, you spent your time invisibly stalking me, eh? That's kinda creepy."
"It's creepier if you realized that I could have easily spied on you when you were in the changing room~. It was right next to the girl's. only that bank of lockers seperating them." She giggles.
"Buh?"
"Hah. Aren't you cute? But it's nothing I haven't seen before. I am Sanae's distant ancestor after all. Kanako, however, I doubt that she's seen anything like that before. Heh"
"Bwah?" my hands unconsciously cover my nether regions.
She keeps laughing.
"Oh, Suwako, lay off the young lad. You're embarassing him." Shizuha chides Suwako lightly. "Besides, dinner is almost finished. Would you call for the kappa, Minoriko?"
"Sure thing, sis."
In short order, a stream of kappa filter into the kitchen, each leaving with a plate or dish.
"Well, we should head to the shrine for dinner." the shorter girl latches onto my arm. "Shall we?"
With Suwako hanging on my arm, we walked back to the shrine, Shizuha and Minoriko chatting happily behind us.
As we enter the shrine we almost run into Sanae.
"Uh... Suwako? What are you doing to Koizumi-kun?"
Suwako squeeses my arm more tightly. "Why? Jealous?" she smirks mischeviously.
"W-what? No! W-why would I?" her face rapidly reddening. "Ohlookatthetimeseeyouatdinner."
Sanae takes off running.

(This is here to help my own memory. I can't scroll the thread while posting with the DS)
I make a mental note to address this misunderstanding with Sanae when I get a chance. As it is right now, chasing after her would just make me look more guilty than I am. That would be no good for any of the parties involved.
"You know," I turn to Suwako, "you really seem more like Sanae's big sister than her ancestor, Moriya-sama."
She pouts slightly at the formality of my speech. "Don't call me that. It makes me feel old." She punches my arm playfully.
"Well, you are, aren't you? I mean, with being a Goddess and all."
"Nice save there, Ken-chan." A sad smile spread across her face. "While, yes, I have been around for a while, don't you think that age is just a number in your head? That you're inly as old as you act?"
"I suppose..."
"See, Kanako and I were very close to death in the outside world. Well, as close as dieties can come, i suppose. We would have returned to the luminous aether which spawned us. And I was... I was actually ok with that. Content to fade away into little more than memory. Kanako wasn't. So her little stunt gave both of us a new lease on life. And I'll be damned if I'm not going to take advantage of it. If I end up ruffling some feathers ib the process, well, so be it. Besides, Sanae needs to loosen up some more. Even with as far as she's come, she still has a long way to go." She nods with some finality. "Let's hurry. Dinner will have started already at this rate."
(more to come later.)
That guy who writes the Sanae story in Youkai !Oxm7qXSCZg 2010/05/14 (Fri) 03:51 No. 15870 We walk into the dining room to find dinner already well under way. It's a large dining room, featuring several large long tables, with one table at the far side of the room set perpendicular to the rest of the long tables that run the length of the room. Many kappa and tengu occupy the long tables, dishes being passed, drinks being refilled, and the general air of happy conversation fills the room. Quite the sight to behold, if I do say so myself.
"This is where we part ways, Ken-chan~" Suwako detaches from my arm and skips to the far end of the room, arms out on either side. She heads to the table on the far side of the room where only two are sitting. Taking her seat to the right of Sanae, Suwako starts chatting happily with her and Kanko, who was seated to the left of Sanae. I pick my way through the room, eventually finding an empty seat. The blonde woman from earlier is sitting here with Nitori.
"This seat taken?"
The blonde woman gives me an appraising look before responding. "No."
"Excuse me, then." I take a seat. Dishes come past quickly, leaving me little chance to grab and take anything. It's a dizzying nightmare. If this continues, I'll not have a chance to get anything to eat.
"Do you need some help?" The woman inquires.
"Ah, yes, that would be most appreciated."
A doll quickly grabs the bowl of rice and holds it long enough for me to take some, the same with several of the other dishes that were moving past far too quickly for me to get at.
"Thank you! Itadakimasu." Ah, food at last. This is good.
Nitori sits there, watching all of this; a small smirk on her face.
"Oh do knock that off, Nitori. That smug attitude is not befitting of you at all."
"I~ don't know what you're talking about, Allie~"
The blonde woman shakes her head before turning to look at me. "Do forgive this addle headed kappa. She really does try her best."
"HEY!"
"But I get ahead of myself, I don't believe we've been formally introduced. I am Alice Margatroid, the seven coloured puppeteer." She nods in place of a bow, "I don't believe I caught your name, Mr..."
"Koizumi. Koizumi Kentaro. It's a pleasure to meet you, Margatroid-san." I return the nod.
"Please, call me Alice. Or, if you don't feel comfortable being that familiar with me, miss Margatroid would suffice."
Nitori coughs, causing Alice to sigh.
"I do apologize for my attitude earlier. Controlling that many dolls is quite stressful and requires a great deal of concentration. I also tend to become quite... snippy when I am put behind on a task I've been set to."
"Oh, I understand completely. I hate being interrupted when I start something. I also have the bad habit of not knowing when to give up. It's how I ended up here, really."
"Oh? That does sound like an interesting tale. The way you're dressed combined with Suwako's obvious... familiarity with you, I'd assume that you came from outside Gensokyo and that you've met before. That would place you among one of the rarest things in Gensokyo, someone who followed another to this place. It's not an easy transition to make, I assure you! Why the sheer amount of energy--spiritual, magical, feh... even technological, I suppose--that takes to come here is no trifling matter. Though, I suppose it would be-"
"C'mon Allie! Don't bore the boy with your magical mumbo jumbo. Let him eat!"
Cheeks flushed red, Alice turns back to Nitori. "D-Don't presume to be so familiar! I may get a little carried away when something strikes my fancy, but do not mistake that for lecturing, or droning on senselessly." She turns back to me now. "Surely you found what I was saying interesting, no?"

That guy who writes that story and forgot their trip 2010/05/19 (Wed) 01:07 No. 15972 (just a bit of a quickie)
"Hm... While I do find things of this nature to be interesting, it is a bit over my head right now."
Alice deflates slightly at my comment.
"Ah! Ah! I didn't mean that you were boring me! As I said, things of this nature interest me, you were just going a bir fast. I've only been here a few days, so I'm not really familiar with this place yet... so, I guess what I'm saying is, I'm not adverse to learning, but you'll have to take it a bit slower,OK, miss Margatroid?"
Perking back up, Alice smiles slightly. "That would be acceptable. You do seem to have at least a modecium of magical talent."
"Oh, yeah. I remember Suwako saying something to that effect before."
"Indeed. You should come visit my house in the Forest of Magic some time. I'm sure I have at least one book that you could make use of."
"Ugh. Get a room you two." Nitori screws up her face and sticks out her tongue. "Why don'cha just quit pussy-footing around?"
"Nitori!" Alice admonishes Nitori, her cheeks reddening again, "I don't know what's gotten into you, but I find that I do not like it."
"Nothin's gotten inta me. It's you thats actin' all lovey-dovey allofa sudden. Why don't the two of ya just run off and hump already?"
We stared at the girl in shock.
"Whut?"
That guy who writes that story and forgot their trip 2010/05/19 (Wed) 20:40 No. 15976 "You really don't seem yourself, Nitori."
A nearly imperceptable hand motion from Alice catches my attention. Two dolls creep up on either side of the kappa girl across the table.
"Look I don't know what you're getting at, Allie-chan, but I'm acting perfectly normally. It's you who seems off."
"We'll just see about that."
"Eh?"
Before Nitori has a chance to react, the dolls are upon her. The hold her tightly as Alice pulls the hat off of her blue haired friend. Much to her, my, and everyone in the general vacinity's surprise, the hat disappears. Onto the table clatters a bowl with some strings attached to it.
"I should have known."
Sitting across the table from us was a now very surprised looking man. My eyes dart back and forth between the vaguely familiar man and Alice. "What the hell is going on here?" I wonder aloud to nobody in particular.
"Rinnosuke." Alice's voice was cold as ice, "I'm only going to ask you once. What did you do to Nitori."
The man panics slightly. "Ah!" He waves his hands in a placaiting fashion. "I only traded her some of the shikigami from my store for one of her extra dresses. I figured that my disguise was only lacking real kappa clothing..."
I realized that he was still wearing the dress in question. There were several rips in it as it was obviously too small for the larger man. But he had appeared to be nitori in every way. "How?"
"Belief is a very powerful thing here, Kentaro. This man has enough false bravado to think he's a master of disguise. The dress only served to amplify the effect, much like any divine or magical instrument would."
By this time Kanako had taken notice of the little disturbance. She sauntered up behind the stammering Rinnosuke, placing a strong hand on his unexpecting shoulder. "I knew I smelled a rat."
All the color drained from his face, the absolute knowledge of his capture sinking in.
"I believe you and I have a date with the catapault."
His scr
That guy who writes that story and forgot their trip 2010/05/19 (Wed) 20:59 No. 15977 His screams for mercy echoed down the halls for as many minutes. As the screams died away, the real Nitori wandered into the dining hall.
"So, what did I miss? I was busy with all the neat toys that strange shop keeper traded me. He only wanted one of my dresses in return. Though, now that I think of it, that's a pretty wierd thing to trade for. I hope he's not doing anything perverted with it. Actually, I hope he's not wearing it. I didn't gave a chance to wash it and the thought of wearing someone else's clothes is enough to give me the heebie jeebies. So many nasty things could be in there, not to mention whatever they might have done in/to it before getting rid of it. Oh hey, could you pass the rice? So where was I?"
Alice and I just laughed.
"What? Is there something on my face? I thought I had cleaned it before-"
"No, No, Nitori, it's nothing like that. It's just good to see you here is all."
"Oh. OK!So, as i was saying..."
Nitori continued to ramble on for some time.
"That was a neat trick you did with those dolls." I pointed at the dolls now resting in Alice's lap.
"Oh, that's nothing special. Just a trick my mom taught me a long long time ago..." She trailed off, lost in thought.
The rest of dinner passed without incident. Afterwards I joined the goddesses, Sanae, Nitori, Alice, and Reimu in the sitting room. The TV was blasting some kappa animated show which nobody was paying particular attention to. Sanae and the goddesses were playing a card game at the kotatsu, while Alice, Reimu, and Nitori were holding a conversation in the corner. Nitori was complaining loudly about the absence of someone named 'Marisa.'
I stood alone, having just entered the room.

That guy who writes that story and forgot their trip 2010/05/22 (Sat) 23:02 No. 16029 Standing in the doorway, my mind turns to dairy products for some inexplicable reason. It's been quite some time since I had any. Not that I ever partook of it much in the first place, so this odd desire for cheese was quite out of place. Shaking it off, I moved closer to the card game that the five goddesses and Sanae were playing. It seemed to be some sort of strange game--a mishmash of several others--with ornate designs and rules inscrutible to any mere mortal.
Sanae stared at the table in deep concentration. She seemed to be unsure of her next move.
"Are you almost complete, Sanae?" Hina querried.
Her face lighting up, Sanae replies, "Yes. I launch my dragon champion out of my catapault turtle towards your floating castle, destroying its levitation ring, causing it to come crashing down on your monsters, thereby killing them." She smiled smugly as all the others just stared at her.
"D-does... is that even a move?" Minoriko whispers to Shizuha.
"I haven't a clue."
"Uh... Sanae... I don't think that's a valid move." Kanako shakes her head.
Pouting slightly, "And just why not?" Sanae quips back defiantly.
" 'cause we're playing gin rummy. Not duel monsters." Suwako snickers.
Sanae's face flushes crimson. "Oh."
Everyone laughed at that.
The rest of the eveining passed uneventfuly, with various people filtering out as the night progressed. Kanako and Suwako were the last to leave, the former almost having to be dragged out by the latter. That just left Sanae and I alone in the sitting room.

"Well, it's getting late. There's so much to do tomorrow. Just a few days to the festival, after all." Sanae climbs to her feet, rubbing her legs slightly. Making to leave the room, she stopped at the doorway, looking back into the room looking like she forgot something. She takes a deep breath and walks back into the room. Coming to rest behind me, she suddenly hugged me. "Thank you." she whispered in my ear, before running out of the room, pausing at the door again to smile back at me before disappearing out into the hallway.
"Buh...?"
Anonymous 2010/05/31 (Mon) 15:05 No. 16133 So, did we just have a quickie with Sanae?

You'd think, that for all its popularity and after everything that happened in The Game, that Sanae would never again have a chance to be a sympathetic, let alone lovable, character on this site.
And here we have a dude writing a story on his DS proving that notion patently false at every turn.
Fuck the haters; I love this site.
Anonymous 2010/06/02 (Wed) 00:33 No. 16172 Well I think The Game's Sanae might end up changing her mind in 50 years Considering how Orange rendered her half-youkai, effectively removing her miko powers. Now she has to live with the weight of what happened.
But I think it's a sign that THP is growing up some, not to judge a character as a whole by one depiction of her.

Okay, you faggots, get out of this thread, until you've learned something called respect.
Save your banters & discussions about Sanae that has nothing to do with this writefag for /words/.
It's something to mention another writefag's work/character, but to be discussing about the same thing for 20+ posts? just not cool.
That guy who writes that story and forgot their trip 2010/06/05 (Sat) 04:56 No. 16245 I sat there for a while, dumbfounded. While what had happened was unexpected, it wasn't unwelcome or unwanted. It was quite plesant, truth be told. I smiled slightly, the flickering light of the television playing over my features.
A noise from the television broke me out of my delirium; the end of broadcast signal, apparently. A pink haired kappa girl spoke briefly before a song played. 'Candid Friend' or something, I think the girl said it was. The song was brief and quickly replaced by a test pattern. Oh well, seems that it's rather late. Perhaps I should head off to bed now. Though... If this place is as rural as everyone makes it out to be, there would be some amazing star gazing to be had. I never really had much of a chance to do it, living in the city and all... Still doesn't change the fact that it's late. Tough call...
