Think? She just wants you to think? Satori relaxes in front of you, her eyes twitching beneath the closed lids, her breathing starting to get deeper again. Gods alone know what she gets out of doing this, but hey, it's very fun to watch. "Mmm." She makes a happy little noise, mouth twisting into a hesitant smile. What to think about?
You could fantasise about her again.
No, no, that's a terrible idea. She's so naive! Such overt sexual thoughts about her would be too much. Last time was an accident. Right, you shouldn't think about those sorts of things at all, not with her rummaging around inside your head. "Oooh!" Satori jumps like she just sat on something, giggling. But she keeps her eyes closed, her fingertips on your forehead. Yeah, thinking about stripping Satori would be a really bad idea. Gently easing her shirt back off her shoulders, revealing her collarbone and placing a hand on her smooth, supple stomach before reaching around behind her and unclasping her bra.
You shouldn't think about kissing and nibbling her neck, before moving lower and sucking on one of her nipples, making her moan and twitch.
"Oh, oh, mmm ..." Satori shifts closer to you, her other hand in her lap.
You definitely shouldn't picture actually having sex with her, she's probably never experienced it before! And it's completely out of the question to think about your cock between her lips, sliding in and out of her mouth as she eagerly bobs her head back and fourth, those huge pale eyes looking up at you.
Even worse if you thought about cumming in her mouth, erupting inside her and having her lick every last drop from her fingers.
"Oh, mmm, don't, uh ... stop."
Certainly a bad idea to picture her on her back, legs open and waiting for you. The moan that would escape her lips as you take her for the first time with one swift thrust, slick with her own juices.
Her face flushed red, her little hands against your back, her legs wrapped around you, pulling you deeper inside as she reaches orgasm. Throwing her head back and crying out so softly as you fill her inside.
Yeah, that would be a bad idea. Don't think about it.
"Uh! Ooooh." Satori practically collapses onto you all of a sudden, letting her hand drop away from your head. Her eyes flicker open as you catch her. "Hey, you okay?" You ask, confused. "What happened there?" Satori just stares at you, face flushed, mouth open, pupils dilated with pleasure. She blinks heavily and gulps before speaking.
"More." She breathes.
[ ] "More what?" What? [ ] "Sure! You want to go into my head again?" [ ] "You lost me." What? [ ] " ... oh!" Oh!
[x] "Sure! You want to go into my head again?" This is completely weird, like double-reverse rape without actual physical contact... Well, the hand doesn't really count. And not really rape either when both parties want it, but still.
Well, Anon is an Oni this time around; his inherent honesty also applies to himself. This means that choosing between his conflicting feelings later might present a bit of a problem... Maybe, when the time comes, he'll be naught but a "poor, poor, loveable man, caught by feelings he can't stop." Heh... Those of you who recognize this quote know what I'm talking about. For those of you who don't: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8hqAH2D8S4
As an apology for having to take a three-day hiatus on you at such an annoying moment, or maybe as just a way to generate more rage, I guess it's time I came clean about a little something, for those of you who haven't worked it out yet.
My name is a composite of two words in Old Norse. Soltinn and dýr. Look them up, please.
>>81645 >If we abandon her after doing this and go for another girl, anon is a pig.
I imagine that if we abandon her, she ends up like a heroin addict not caring about much else except her next fix. Eventually turning to selling her body and just so she can pluck some cluttered, half-interested thoughts from guys off the street.
I was in favour of pursuing Sanae, but fuck if I'm going to let that happen to the girl such an awestruck and ethereal introduction.
>You stop in front of her desk. She just looks up at you. The morning sunlight streaming through the windows catches in her hair, turning it pinky-translucent. >"Hi." You say, suddenly hit by the implications of your actions. A new student turns up and makes a bee-line straight for a particular girl. Yeah, this probably looks great doesn't it? >"You're real." The girl says, breathless, mouth hanging open. >You frown. "Sorry, what?" You blink and collect your wits. "I saw you staring at me and I-" >"You're ..." She trails off, frowning, suddenly biting her bottom lip. "Magnificent."
You know, I like Satori, I really do. However, I also like Kaguya. And, unless you plan on trying to contradict not only our own actions, but the girl who just dove into our brain and so would KNOW this sort of thing, "we" like Kaguya, too.
>>"After all, I kinda like you."
>>"I mean I saw you kissed Tewi and you like Kaguya..."
Remember, Anon, an Oni never lies, certainly not to mind-readers, but least of all to themselves.
Besides, Kaguya compliments us rather well, too. Sure, Satori has that whole "able to tell the truth with her mind" thing that meshes well with our inability to tell a lie (or would that simply be called redundancy?) but Kaguya challenges us. Sure, it's not drinking contests or seeing how far you can throw boulders or something, but gaming works just as well.
Not only that, but there's the combination of her immortality and her knowledge of first aid, both of which would surely allow her to better handle our Oni strength more than the comparatively frail Satori can. You'd never have to worry about holding yourself back for fear of shattering her bones or rupturing her organs. Hell, for all you know Kaguya might actually LIKE that sort of thing.
...of course, this is ignoring the fact that, for all we know, we may have inadvertently gotten Tewi more interested in us than we would like.
Clearly insane girl with a meat cleaver who likes you? NEVER a good thing, not for you, and not for any other females you might so much as look at. Like Rinnosuke said, that little kiss might not have been a particularly good idea. Just hope that it doesn't come back to haunt you...
Why the fuck would we ever put ourselves into a situation where we would risk harming Satori? Just because we have massive strength, it doens't mean we're incapable of controlling it and were we attempting to embrace Satori, we'd wind up squishing her. I'm almost tempted to ask if you were one of the people who thought thinking about Sanae earlier was a good idea based on how moronic this is. Unless we, for some moronic reason, launch ourselves into some lust fueled desire for Satori's delicious body against her will, I doubt the situation would ever come to a point where we would even think of hurting her.
>>81970 Simmer down now, chief. I'm just saying that when you're capable of unintentionally making craters in concrete with your FIST, that a girl who not only has first-aid knowledge and is also immortal and can presumably regenerate from even the most grievous of injuries has distinct advantages over a girl who does not, such as not having to worry about snapping her spine like a twig because you were holding her when you climaxed and had an unfortunate spasm, or even are simply hugging her and suddenly sneeze, to say nothing about all the kinky possibilities that arise should the two of you decide to go "all out".
I'm not suggesting anyone would ever intentionally harm the darling little mind-reader, or anyone else for that matter (that didn't at least deserve it), but no one can maintain complete and total control of their bodies at all times, least of all while doing the things you're imagining doing with Satori.
But, hey, if you want to take your chances with the old "Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex" scenario, go right ahead. Just don't start crying if you shoot your wad and blow the poor girl's brains out.
Even if Kaguya could regenerate, it wouldn't make the scene feel any less wrong. "Oh whoops darling, I accidentally caved your chest in while groping you. Oh well, it'll fix itself." or "Crap, pressed too hard while trying to maintain a grip as I was doing you from behind and now a bunch of your organs are bleeding probably. We better take a breather before we continue."
[x] "More what?" What? [x] " ... oh!" Oh! [x] Forehead to forehead this time.
The Tantric aim is to sublimate rather than negate relative reality. This process of sublimation consists of three phases: purification, elevation, and the "reaffirmation of identity on the plane of pure consciousness."
Then we went after every green haired girl in school. Then Sanae, lovely, adorable Sanae. Then Tewi fight, fuck yeah (but that's completely unrelated). Then Youmu fight followed by a hive fight, also fuck yeah (unrelated too, but it's awesome). Then asscake. Now Satori mindsex. After this, we go after Suika or Yuugi.
I say we just play the field for now and make a full route decision later. I like Satori, I do, but we've also spent a lot more time around her than the other girls, and the nature of her power forces some degree of intimacy into every situation - she knows what we're thinking. I'd like to give the other girls the benefit of some time together before ruling them out completely.
As for those jumping on the OMGSEX=LUV train, just chill. This is a pretty clearly lust-fueled situation, and rightly so - Hibiki and Satori are both hormonal teenagers when it comes right down to it. One would expect them to experiment a little, especially when Satori can read Hibiki's mind and heart and understand - better than any other girl - just what being surrounded by loads of pretty girls is doing to his libido.
>>82015 Honestly, I get what your are saying, and I wouldn't have this issue with any of the other girls. Satori just seems that much more emotionally vulnerable.
I'll concede that my statement was an unlikely worst case scenario. And am regretful I inadvertently sparked OPINIONfagottry.
>>82014 >One would expect them to experiment a little, especially when Satori can read Hibiki's mind and heart and understand - better than any other girl - just what being surrounded by loads of pretty girls is doing to his libido. You make an excellent point. I'm convinced.
>>82009 Which is why talking as if we're settling on any one path at this point is quite silly, as it's clear Anon is doing his old routine of going all gung-ho for whoever is in front of him and displaying even the slightest hint of interest at that particular moment. Just wait until we're back with someone else, be it tea with Sanae, cake with Rika, Mima offering to make it up to us for voting for our death, delving more into Kaguya's fetishes, or getting to know someone entirely new to us.
Besides, it's only been, what, two days now? Not saying we have all the time in the world or anything, but there's certainly no reason to rush things, either. Take it easy, see what there is to see, and then pick once you're better aware of what your options are.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF- You're right. I can honestly say that I really do want a harem route, even though attempts at them typically end badly.
They're all so damn... awesome... just, really cool, and hot, and... and fucking awesome... I can't choose... Damn it, Sol, why can't more of your girls be like Reimu?! Why do they all have to be great?
>>82014 O-ok, yeah... I can get behind this... whew... haah... I need a drink...
>>Doesn't it seem odd that Kaguya is not part of the group, did not warn us about going out at night, but still found the group's website and video?
No more than it is odd that Sanae DID warn us about going out at night, clearly showing she does know something is wrong with the town, and yet also is not a member of the group.
And while Kaguya didn't warn us, in case you've forgotten neither did Mima, Rinnosuke, or Nitori, at least two of whom we spent at least a decent amount of time talking with at one point or another.
Besides, in case you haven't noticed, but the group is very wary of anyone they aren't entirely certain about, and not even Satori's ability is regarded as a fool-proof way to tell if someone can be trusted. She was wrong about the spy that infiltrated and tried to kill them, after all. Then again, she was right about us, and yet the majority of the group still thought it more prudent to simply kill us anyway.
As for why neither Kaguya nor Mokou show any indication of even knowing it's dangerous to go out at night, there could be any number of reasons for that. Maybe they don't go out at night, anyway. Or, if they do, perhaps they've simply never run into any of the Hive, which could also be for any number of reasons, ranging from pure chance, to them being agents of Yukari, to something entirely different altogether. Hell, maybe they don't know it's dangerous to go out at night because what makes it so dangerous is avoiding THEM. You know how like Yuyuko was afraid of Mokou in IN?
So do I, but this Reimu in particular is rather blatantly disagreeable. And considering the "lol batshit miko" portrayals than are seen on THP regularly, that's saying a lot. It's pretty clear that we aren't supposed to like her.
... Save for morbid curiousity about why she's so bitchy, which seems like the only reason why we'd even consider starting down the Reimu route (if it even exists.)
>>82019 There are a number of people that aren't in the group but probably should be. Koishi was mentioned as a student when Mima got us to ditch Satori. She should also be a mind reader, but isn't a member. Mima is a friend of Marisa here and a presumed mentor in the games; she's not in the group. Other canonical relationships as well, although most would be a bit of a stretch due to excessive fanon. The group just seems incredibly small, when you think about the number of people the current members should trust enough to bring in, and their ability to read minds, verify species, and whatever else Sigma can do. Yes yes, they're incredibly paranoid... but then how did they get the 9 members they have now? Going back to the introduction to the group part, it doesn't sound like they all discovered sigma at the same time, it sounds more like Youki found stuff out and then began recruiting others. So why only 9 other people?
>No more than it is odd that Sanae DID warn us about going out at night, clearly showing she does know something is wrong with the town, and yet also is not a member of the group. Sanae seems to be in some form of rivalry with the Hakurei shrine. She also definitely has some sort of divine power; the charm that she gave us probably protected us from the hive in day 1 and also messed up Satori's mindreading in day 2. Since Reimu seems to be allied with Yukari, and Sanae seems to be both against Reimu and for us, I don't think Sanae is a threat.
>>82023 I would guess that whatever method they used to determine who could or could not be trusted prior to finding Sigma was handled primarily by Youki, much like he also handled contacting the outside and obtaining supplies. By the time the incident occurred, they had probably switched to employing Satori and Sigma, only to have it turn out that their hopeful inductee was a spy that had somehow managed to fool even Satori's ability. As Youki disappeared after that, they were left without whatever means he had for sorting people out before they found Sigma, and the only other means they had they now knew was no longer 100% reliable, hence why their group is so small and why it hasn't exactly been growing much.
I wonder if perhaps their activities in school are more than a way of maintaining cover, and if they aren't trying to observe the other students and figure out who else they can trust and who they cannot. They avoid the ones they know they shouldn't trust, such as Reimu, as well as the ones they consider too risky to get close to, like Suika and Yuugi, but it might explain why Nitori is in Kaguya's club, and some of the other people the other group members might be hanging out with.
The problem, of course, is that they don't seem to know how to progress from there. The only certain method they have entails exposing their hideout and the location of Sigma, and in the event they're wrong they would all be as good as dead. It's kinda like Russian Roulette for them, but without knowing how many bullets are in the gun, if any at all. Sure, there's the chance there's nothing in the chamber, but if it's just as likely there is, you certainly aren't going to be eager to pull the trigger to find out, are you?
Which is where we come in. The might have a vague idea which guns have few to no bullets in them, but it will be on us to get them to squeeze the trigger.
About Sanae, you can't forget that her goddess, Kanako, tryed to protect us this night. You know, the wind pratically telling us to get the fuck off the streets and get home quickly? And to not go meet death by Youmu's swords?
Maybe they are just helping (ok, protecting is a better word) us discreetly. And that is another reason we need to visti thema gain tomorrow. They must be worried to death.
It irks me very much that "bitchy Reimu" seems to be the default portrayal for THP. Of all the characters in the entire series of Touhou, she's the most aloof and uncaring, and least likely to be a bitch (at least to such an exaggerated level). I mean fuck, Youkai (who she's technically supposed to be killing on sight) barge into her shrine and throw parties and don't clean up, and the worse she does is get a little grumpy? That seems more like she has the patience of a god-damned saint to me.
I'm just hoping that there's at least a very good reason for Reimu being like this in this story, because so far it's the only black mark against this cyoa. Easily one of the best on the boards so far.
On a different topic, it seems to be that just about everyone we were introduced to by Mima is likely to be real. I can just picture some of them being aware of the hive just because of their personalities. Hell, Cirno is pretty likely to have gone out at night because of her (in canon) mischievous nature. Wriggle's last name is [b]Night[b]bug.
I myself would like to see a Cirno route, since I really like how she's been portrayed so far (pretty rare for Cirno to be portrayed as anything but a complete dumbass with only idiot moé going for her). Do want more normal Cirno.
Of course with recent developments, and lack of opportunities, that seems to be a pipe dream now. A Satori route is fine too, though. Normally not a character I like, but she's done quite well here.
>>I myself would like to see a Cirno route, since I really like how she's been portrayed so far (pretty rare for Cirno to be portrayed as anything but a complete dumbass with only idiot moé going for her). Do want more normal Cirno.
Wait. What? She likes us because we bought her a (DOHOHO) chocolate bar and ruffled her hair.
>>Youkai (who she's technically supposed to be killing on sight) barge into her shrine and throw parties and don't clean up
Well, she isn't really supposed to be killing youkai on sight. Her job is to keep the peace (usually by roughing troublemakers up a bit via danmaku.) I don't think she's ever even killed anyone, youkai or otherwise.
There seem to be many misconceptions on what a Hakurei shrine maiden's duties actually entail.
It's naive to assume that this group is the only opposing force Yukari has. Hell, when Komachi and Siki saw that blood on roof first thing they thought of was immortals. It's entirely possible that Kaguya knows about the group but isn't member becuase she has way too much other things to worry about. Just like Sanae. Their interest may not be entirely similar to those of these people.
>>82036 Or, it could be that, you know, Kaguya and Mokou ARE the immortals they were referring to. Just a thought.
Mokou is, as we've seen, inclined towards violence, what with trying to punch us out just for saying we were Kaguya's friend, suggesting that whatever feelings she has for her, their relationship is not on the best of terms. And then there was the warning Rinnosuke gave about her, flat-out stating they don't like each other.
Meanwhile, Kaguya has done extensive research on various first-aid techniques on the internet, claims to have a "problem" and that it figures in on some sort of secret she will let is in on, with threats of a penalty should we freak out when we see it.
A girl (who outside of this story is an immortal) with a penchant for causing injury to others, and another (also an immortal outside of this story) with knowledge on dealing with injuries, both of whom are apparently well-known to be on bad terms with each other, and when some blood is found on the roof the two faculty members think it was due to "the immortals" having a fight again.
Yeah, that's the point. It's pretty obvious that they ARE the immortals. Also: >>82036 and >>82044 = probably the same person. Cease this foolishness before you cause me to fracture my skull with my own palm.
>It's naive to assume that this group is the only opposing force Yukari has. Self explanatory. >Hell, when Komachi and Siki saw that blood on roof first thing they thought of was immortals. The immortals, not yet disclosed but are likely to be Mokou and Kaguya. >It's entirely possible that Kaguya knows about the group but isn't member becuase she has way too much other things to worry about. Kaguya probably knows of the terrible, terrible group that we just joined, but cannot or did not join. >Just like Sanae. Their interest may not be entirely similar to those of these people. Their being that of the Immortal's, the shit-group's, and Sanae's.
>>82038 here, and now that I look at it, it seems I misunderstood what was said by >>82036
My apologies, though I would I still say that two well-known enemies in the school, one of which is definitely predisposed towards violence, would be the natural suspects should any signs of a bloody fight be found. It's nothing to do with one of the two being an "opposing force" against Yukari so much as it is that the people in her employ to watch over the school knowing about the people they're supposed to be watching.
Beyond her having found that website, and one of the group memebers being in her club, there's not really anything else connecting her to the group, and certainly no indication she knows anything about it.
Then again, we certainly didn't have much reason to think Mima, Nitori, Rinnosuke, that girl who followed us home that turned out to be Youmu, and the crazy girl who tried to kill us on the roof were connected in any way, either...
I was saying I like how she's been portrayed so far. Do you honestly think it's idiotic to appreciate someone randomly doing something nice for you? Especially in a town where you may or may not have noticed that everyone seems to be almost "souless" and likely doesn't do stuff like that for you? I know when someone treats me to something I really appreciate it, I'm sure anyone does unless they're a complete jackass.
What I'm saying is that so far Cirno doesn't show any signs of being terminally retarded, as she's usually portrayed. To me that's a good thing, and I want to see more of it.
Please do your research before attempting to make an argument. It's been stated in several canon places that Reimu is supposed to exterminate youkai on sight. I mean fuck, that's why she attacks Tokiko. And the first time she meets Aya, she comments how it's her job to slay youkai before she attacks Aya. Aya, I'll remind you, wasn't actually doing anything wrong at the time other than pestering the Miko. So yes, it *is* her job to slay youkai on sight. She just doesn't do it. Why do you think everyone thinks she's lazy? She's not lazy, she's just too nice for her own damned good. She treats youkai on equal terms, which is why strong youkai like her. Of course, she'll still exterminate them if given the slightest reason (after all, it seems youkai don't die, even when killed)
You might make the argument that Reimu is a bitch for attacking youkai at random, but remember that they are youkai. They fucking murder people and eat them. It's been stated in the short stories that people wander into Gensokyo constantly. Most of whom are devoured before Reimu can even reach them to bring them back. Yes, that's right, most CYOAs are just plain wrong. It happens all the time. Outsiders wandering in is in no way, shape, or form, "rare". This is why I wish more people would do their research before writing/arguing.
Of course, this doesn't apply so much to this story, as it (as far as we can tell so far) doesn't take place in canon gensokyo. That and I'm really enjoying this one. However, there still better be a damn good reason for Reimu being such a bitch, because if there isn't, then it isn't really Reimu at all, is it?
That'd be like if you took Mickey Mouse and gave him Bruce Campell's personality. Sure, it might be better than the original, but you can't rightfully claim it's them anymore, can you?
>>82057 So, let me get what you're saying straight. It is Reimu's job/duty to kill youkai on sight. Which she does not do. Except for the times when she does. But when she doesn't, she's being too nice for her own good and treats youkai like equals to her. Despite their basically being monsters who murder people and eat them. And sometimes these man-eating monsters, who she treats like equals, hang out at her shrine and party with her and she seems to have little, if any, problem with it. Until they start causing trouble, in which case she will go after them, but not, because despite their being man-eating monsters with absurdly HAX-level powers, she deals with them by playing what amounts to a non-letal game involving lots of pretty lights.
So, at the end of the day, you have a shrine maiden whose job is to kill man-eating monsters who either doesn't do anything about said man-eating monsters, or who does do something, but that "something" is basically playing games with them, which the man-eating monsters willingly go along with despite it probably being much easier and simpler to simply resort to trying to rip out their opponent's innards and eat them alive?
>>82057 >You might make the argument that Reimu is a bitch for attacking youkai at random, but remember that they are youkai. They fucking murder people and eat them. It's been stated in the short stories that people wander into Gensokyo constantly. Most of whom are devoured before Reimu can even reach them to bring them back. Then what exactly is the border doing?
What I can find indicates that humans wandering in happens only occasionally, but that youkai going outside to abduct humans is a regular occurence. Humans inside Gensokyo they don't bother as much, since they're descended from the bands of youkai hunters that originally settled in the area. Much better to abduct normal folk.
This is going mostly off the PCB prologue, but I can't think of any contradictions.
>The days where humans live in terror of youkai, or in desperation to exterminate them, have passed, and the world has become a place where youkai come to the human village to play, and humans are invited into the houses of devils.
>In fact, a number of the youkai threat levels have been inflated somewhat in this volume. >This probably isn't too much cause for concern, as humans are almost never kidnapped and eaten by youkai in today's Gensokyo. >At this rate, I may have to completely rethink the audience of the Gensokyo Chronicles and the purpose of their existence.
>Still, the fact that we've entered into an age where there is practically no more use for the Gensokyo Chronicles means that this is a new, ideal era for both humans and youkai. >There are few threats to humans' lives, and they can have peaceful duels whenever they please. >Youkai extermination continues in name only, and abductions are only carried out for show. >These peaceful, yet stimulating times are surely a golden age for humans and youkai alike.
I doubt it's that they're afraid to so much as it is that it's a hassle. The shrine is pretty far out - on the edge of the Border, as I recall - and with the way Reimu lets youkai run around, she probably just has a reputation for being really lazy. So they probably don't think she' very pleasant.
No one really has reason to go to the shrine, so they don't. And Reimu remains forever without donations.
"More what?" You ask. You didn't even work out what to think about yet! Satori's mouth curls into a smile. "More of that." She breathes, hands clutching your shoulders. More of ... oh! "Oh!" You say in shock. She saw all that? But you were trying to not think about it! "I'm sorry!" You say reflexively. Satori gently shakes her head, raising a finger and pressing it against your lips. "Shhh." She hushes you. "More." "You ... you like that?" You ask, dumbfounded. Satori nods. "Very!" You don't quite know what to say. Is she just reacting to the passion of your thoughts, or does she actually want to do all that with you? "Did you see what I was ... um, thinking about?" You almost blush at the sheer graphic detail of what you'd like to do to her, at what she might have seen you thinking. Satori breaks into a huge grin, genuine and warm. "Yes!"
"You-" "Shhh." She says again, just shaking her head and resting herself against you. She's small, thin and lithe and almost frail in your arms. This close, you can smell her hair, washed not long ago. She sighs and a hand snakes up your side, across your neck, finally coming to rest against your forehead again. "Ahh." Satori lets out a long, soft cry into your ear, shuddering a little against you as she closes her eyes. "Again?" You ask. "Mmhmm, one more time." She murmurs.
This is too much, holding a quivering, gasping girl in your arms. You're rock-hard and more than a little flustered yourself, although thankfully, or sadly, Satori's thighs are to the side, not rubbing up against your erection.
[ ] Actually, you think she's had enough. [ ] Just think, for her. [ ] Touch her when it begins. [ ] Shift her sideways, so she's sitting on your cock.
[X] Shift her sideways, so she's sitting on your cock. [X] Touch her when it begins. [x] "Hey, you want to do the real thing?" [x] Give her what she wants.
She's read our mind, and already knows what we want and probably what to expect, I say just go for it. If she doesn't want to, she can hardly blame us for trying to make a move. This could go wrong... but it could also go very very good.
You guys do realize that, if this keeps going, someone will inevitably wonder where either we or Satori have gotten off to, wander by the tiny little room we're in, notice some strange noises coming from within, and investigate, right?
>>82023 >There are a number of people that aren't in the group but probably should be. Koishi was mentioned as a student when Mima got us to ditch Satori. She should also be a mind reader, but isn't a member.
>"And I think I saw your sister near the back of the canteen." Mima says with a mischievous little smile. "Talking to a boy or something." >"What?" Satori's eyes go a little wide and she tries to see through the crowd of students. "Where is she now?"
I have a theory regarding Koishi. Because her heart is closed, she doesn't (for the most part) register as real. As such, monsters don't attack her and she is largely ignored. Satori at least knows she is real, but distances her from the group as it is the best way of protecting her. Her concern that she is talking to a boy is that she fears her sister may be opening her heart and her camouflage may fail.
Because the people voting for that write-in are just trying to make things more "interesting" and are not, in fact, actually just going straight for what they perceive to be a potential sex scene with a girl we've known for barely a couple days, with zero regard for any potential consequences, foreseeable or otherwise. After all, that would be just SILLY, especially considering how many times trying that sort of thing numerous other times in numerous other stories has would up horribly blowing up in our face.
Whether it's opting to leave the safety of your group to go off for possible sexy time with a goddess who leaks misfortune all over the place, or simply choosing to hug a mentally-unstable loli vampire who has the ability to turn you into a find red mist in the blink of an eye while she's in the middle of a delusional/psychotic episode, Anon's judgment when he's thinking with something other than the head on his shoulders is dubious, at best.
Of course, if you really are trying to just make things more interesting, then I suppose you won't complain when you get cock-blocked by Youmu bursting in on you, and upon seeing what appears to be you molesting Satori, proceeds to chase you around with her swords in an attempt to chop your balls off.
Satori is begging us to continue having sexual thoughts about her, because apparently she gets off on that. This is one of those times where being overly cautious is just that: Being overly cautious.
It might have bad results, or it might have awesome results. We're talking about a person who's part of what basically amounts to a resistance. A situation that seems to leave her mostly alone and scared apparently. She was happy to see we were real for a reason.
And has no one else noticed that we, so far as we've seen, seem to be the only "real" male other than Rinnosuke? I say let's give Satori as much enjoyment as we can. Afterall, who know's who will make it out of this story alive.
So why not just go with the flow on this one? We haven't committed to anyway, not even a little. And I'm of the school of thought that it's generally anon that ruins cyoas by acting cautious and avoiding anything involving fun like the plague for fear of facing some random consequence. Which, you know, ends up making us look like a complete wimp that can't shoot for anything they want. We're a god-damned Oni, motherfuckers.
Let me put it this way: Would you rather go on 30+ threads of drama and pussyfooting around to maybe have a shot at one of the girls (assuming they're all alive or on our side) in the end, or would you like to have smaller doses of such scenes throughout, and then STILL have something in the end?
One way will be full of regrets of missed opportunities and "what could have been"s. The other will at least guarantee things will stay interesting. Yes, it is indeed possible to have your cake, and eat it too. I'll leave the choice to you.
>>82154 You mention two examples by authors who are known for DESPAIR, this is not that kind of story. Didn't you read the previous thread where he said "go wild" and got irritated at anon for NOT thinking about sex with Satori?
>>Didn't you read the previous thread where he said "go wild" and got irritated at anon for NOT thinking about sex with Satori?
You mean when the votes either entailed thinking about Satori but not about sex with her or thinking about someone else entirely? And really, I would think "thinking" is the operative word, here. How exactly does plopping the girl right on top of your cock, having her straddle you, or basically propositioning her aid that in any way?
But you know, screw it. It's plain as day Anon is hoping for more than just thinking, and if he really wants to go all the way, he had damn well better go all the way. I'll even help!
To those of you being overly cautious, realize that you are doing just that: being overly cautious. If you are honestly frightened of asking to go further, then you will never accomplish a damn thing in this story; this situation is the perfect moment to ask Satori if she would like more. She is clearly aroused by our thoughts about her, has asked us to continue mentally having sex with her, and being that she can read our fucking thoughts and heart, she should understand perfectly why we would want to actually have sex with her. If you still are unwilling to even try and push further, then congratulations, you have absolutely no capacity for reading the mood or situation.
Seriously, you have to be willing to be a little adventurous. What do you think the decision to become an Oni was? The decision to fantasize about Satori in the first place? Reward requires that you risk something; if we hadn't been adventurous, we wouldn't have had nearly as awesome the results.
Exactly. We wanted to look cool, and it was an awesome thing to say - we knew damn well it could have ended badly. There were people back then yelling about how stupid it was, and how it would never work. It worked fucking awesome.
That's what we need in this story: a willingness to actually step forward and do something ballsy when the situation calls for it. If we pussyfoot around, we'll never get anywhere, because we'll always be backing down from good situations out of some pathetic fear of failure. Newsflash: you don't get anything if you don't make an attempt to get it in the first place.
>>82169 >>If you still are unwilling to even try and push further, then congratulations, you have absolutely no capacity for reading the mood or situation.
You mean the situation where we're with a moaning girl in a small room inside a building also currently inhabited by a crazy girl who tried to kill us, an excessively-serious girl who tried to kill us, a sarcastic girl who pointed a gun at our head in case she had to kill us, and a guy who has yet to try to kill us (and barring a sudden psychotic episode, hopefully never will)? Unless you're certain none of them would be wandering around, possibly even looking for us, or that the room you're in is soundproof, I think some level of caution is more than warranted.
It's none of their business. At all. They're all teenagers, and I think they ought to understand the way the libido functions. At worst we'll embarrass or offend one of them if they catch us.
The only one worth worrying about is Tewi, who happens to be a little crazy, and...
Oh, wait, do I recall us getting a kiss from her earlier? For good luck? You know, a gift of good luck from the girl whose canon power is to grant good fortune? The sort of good luck that would keep any of the others from walking in on us in the first place?
>>82169 For me at least, I don't see it as a question of being cautious. We could ask her if she wants to do the real thing, and it would probably even succeed. Even if she declined, she would, as you point out probably be understanding.
The "cautious" write-in just seems to be more intimate and spontaneous. Bring your faces close enough to feel each other's breath, and then quickly stealing a kiss (hopefully surprising a mind reader) and not knowing if it will be reciprocated. That is taking a chance.
Asking if she'd like to act out the fantasy in your head just doesn't seem as romantic.
If she kisses us back, I promise you my vote to follow through with the sexing.
Oh no, those votes are fine, too. Perhaps not ideal by my standards - I'd like something more certain, and I'm aiming more for a moment of passion than a romantic commitment - but perfectly fine. I can live with that. The ones that bother me are the folks who are still coming along with "[X] Just think, for her."
>>[x] Have her straddle you. >>[x] Forehead to forehead. >>[x] Steal a kiss. Or maybe have one stolen.
Considering the discussion ITT, isn't continuing the foreplay the most agreeable choice? It could easily go either way, depending on how Satori responds, and we're ultimately left with a purely mutual situation.
I think we can all agree that Anon wants what Satori wants, and the only real disagreement is over what her speech and actions imply her desires are (continuing with fantasy or progressing on to more physical grounds.) If we keep laying the intimacy on thick without an actual preposition, the real answer will become much clearer; Satori will either suggest intercourse herself (as she has shown, she isn't that naive) or continue as she has been, denoting that this is what she wants-- no more and no less.
I suppose it can be argued Anon needs to take initiative and introduce Satori to the world of pleasures that sex entails, which she is ignorant of (and won't ask for it because of that), but this option certainly won't rule that out.
Now, if you excuse me, I need to go and vomit over how fucking stupid speaking of these matters in such a way felt.
>>82014 How dare you be sensible and logical, you faggot
>>82036 Are you the little shitbag I bawled out a thread or two ago?
>>82057 >It's been stated in the short stories that people wander into Gensokyo constantly. Most of whom are devoured before Reimu can even reach them to bring them back. Yes, that's right, most CYOAs are just plain wrong. It happens all the time. Outsiders wandering in is in no way, shape, or form, "rare". This is why I wish more people would do their research before writing/arguing.
Speaking of, how translated are the print works, anyway (percentage-wise)?
>>82178 It's a shame. If there is no update people like that and others come around and the thread needs to get cleaned up by a mod again. Owens story and i think HY's very first story were way more civilized than what is going on here.
Not quite, from what I remember. Remember that argument over whether to trust Mima or Sword Guy? HY seems to be a magnet for bitching and whining. Hell, the only story of his that I can remember being free of drama was the pirates one.
I don't see what the problem is with discussing, debating, or even just plain arguing over decisions so long as there's no needless name-calling or insults getting thrown about just because you don't like that someone disagrees with you or doesn't think your super awesome idea is all that super or awesome. In the end, the majority will be getting whatever it wants anyway, so what harm is there in presenting an opposing viewpoint?
Now, if we were arguing, worrying, and hand-wringing over arbitrarily-chosen details that not only had practically zero noticeable impact on us, our actions, or the story in general in the long-run, but was also something we couldn't even really do anything about anyway, on the other hand...
>>82228 >Yes, i bet HY spoils the story on IRC like all the other writers do.... They don't really spoil stuff there. More like just answer questions that were unclear in the story, like what Satori happens to be wearing.
No one really talks about their stories or spoils anything on IRC. I can't remember off the top of my head the last time I saw anyone actually talk about anything related to their CYOAs, unless it was in a PM with me. Most of the time it floats between topics with some actual conversations, though the rest of the time is spent without such guidance.
I really suggest people at least take a look at it before you start complaining about it. At the very least, you could have much more direct complaints about IRC rather than just generalizations.
>>82252 Everyone is associated with despair because if you even try to give your story some kind of variety, you'll only ever be remembered for the moment you made things a little sad. People throw the term around like it's weeaboo or epic, and I for one am tired of it. People don't know the meaning of despair these days.
As this thread has auto-saged and I don't have time for another update before this connection cuts out again, I would like to say something.
Stop worrying. Plan, speculate, argue, work out what to do (that's rather important), but don't worry too much. I will BAD END you left and right, but I will not lead you down multiple days of despair whilst you fuck yourself into a hole in the ground. I will not Despair End you, I will not Sad End you. I am not Kira.
[x] Have her straddle you. [x] Forehead to forehead. [x] Steal a kiss. Or maybe have one stolen.
...So, to change the topic from retarded shit now that HY's said his piece and ended it: >"No, I have a home, but I stay here when it's needed." >"Needed?" You ask. >"For safety." Satori hesitates, a shadow falling across her face. >"What's the matter?" >"Nothing." Satori says Anyone wondered what it is Satori doesn't want to talk about? I'm putting money on abusive parents and/or Koishi.
As much as people bring up examples of Kira inspiring despair, so many of these examples suffered from Anon being a fucking moron. Blame the voters, not the author. It is his duty to do what the votes say unless they are so explicity retarded that it would make no sense in the context of the story to do it.
>>82276 voter choices are just one line. there is plenty of wriggle room. for all voter choices there are always other, equally plausible outcomes that do not end in Sad Girl In Snow. when a writefag chooses the DESPAIR outcome, probably over other, more plausible outcomes, there's no point blaming the voters.
>>82276 The tengu ninjas and everything after that (fake Eirin, dead Sanae, inexplicable timestop Eiki's bullshit fake-out, the entire ending sequence where nothing was answered, SNOW END) were complete bullshit on Kira's part. That part was when the DESPAIR meme started, he even told us at the time that we had no hope of getting better than a "normal end".
He said later that he almost BAD ENDed it there, but decided to just keep the story going to get it over with: ><~Dark_Mercury> Ninja were not punishment. ><~Dark_Mercury> Ninja were to keep it going, because at that point, i had planned to have a bad end there be like, Final bad end, and have anon have to re-start from either the chapter start, or the begining of the story
We also later found out the ultimate bullshit he pulled: Yukari gapped us SEVERAL DAYS AHEAD just for walking into a dark room, which made us miss the start of the story, which left us confused and directionless so we missed ALL of the fucking story just trying to find a place to hide from Reimu. If that's not hopelessness and futility I don't know what is.
As far as authors of despair go, my vote would have to be for Desdaxis when Shadow Over Gensokyo was still running. Bleak, depressing, and still awesome enough to keep on reading despite it all. It was like one long and dragged out kick in the nuts that only gave you spots of hope to make you miserable later (Wriggle's cancer, dead Reisen, etc.).
You're not the only one. The (false) revelation of the destruction of Shanghai still stirs up rage in this Anon. More than that, it seemed that every one of our allies could potentially be plotting to fuck us over, and yet, it was one of few CYOAs where said paranoia was probably healthy.
It was alot worse than cancer. Our character meets Wriggle in another cell in a prison in the SDM. Wriggle has...I don't know "regressed" into a hybrid of humanoid and insect, having a bugs carapace and multiple segmented feet, has brain damage to the point where us merely lending her our hand causes her to result in a weird combination of semi-lust: caressing and pushing her face against it and basically going nuts over the fact that someone actually acknowledges her.
Reisen had it easy, apart from her eyes and ears being ripped out.
