“Is this informant of yours really that good?” I found myself asking almost without thinking.
“Oh, she's the best.” Suika assured me with a nod.
“She'll be able to find Reimu?”
“If not find her, at least tell us where to look next.”

I thought about it for a moment. It didn't sound foolproof in my opinion, but it was better than any other leads we might have had. I took a look around the shrine, “Sure is quiet here.”
“It's nice, huh? Different from the other shrine. Still, not really my kind of place.”
“And why is that?” I suppose that Suika saying something like that was too rare for me to simply let go. Even if she was acting out a role.
“It's not as fun as being around Reimu, I guess.”
I chuckled. “Despite all of the fighting?”
“What fighting? We have an understanding.”
“Yeah, I can see that.” Reimu definitely didn't think that. With the way she acted, she saw the oni as a bother at best and a complete pain in the neck that made her life a living hell at worst. Once again I had evidence that Suika was really off in her own world most of the time. “We should get going now. I think it's best if we see your contact.”
“That'll be good. Let's get going then.”

Getting to where her contact was pretty easy. I had no idea where we were, but it was pretty close to the shrine somewhere in the mountains. “It's one of the many entrances.” Suika explained in front of a small cavern. “Wait here a bit, I'll be back.”

[X]Take the time to explain to Marine what she's getting into.
[x] Check with Reimu, then
[x] Go find Naomi then Ben.

"Are you sure about this?" Does Marine even know what she's getting into? There's just as many chances to do well as there are to die, and I'm not always going to be there to bail her out.

"Quite sure, you don't have to worry so much." I ought to at least explain to Marine what she's about to get involved in then.

"Then I might as well explain things as best I can." I shift to a more comfortable position so I won't get a cramp or something. "Basically if you do go, you should stick around the human village unless you get good at preforming magic or have an escort, because there are plenty of things that would kill you without a second thought."

"And yet you're still alive." Normally, Marine's point would be valid. However...

"That's because he's not physically there. He mostly manifests as a spirit, and even then he isn't invincible." Yukari jumps into that conversation next. "Though he is far more powerful in that form."

"I see." Wait, Marine can't possibly accept that so easily. "So how did Wade's spirit manifest without his body?"

Seriously though, how would that even work? Giygas is just a full screen image of moving maroon fetuses and other bits.

Even if we did manage to make it work, anyone who saw it would most likely go insane.

First of all I thought Anon knew what it was voting for since I try to keep the various transformations true to their source, and the Necromorph Hive Mind has no real ranged or magic options to begin with. My second mistake was as you said not making a case for Olga Flow. I assumed if anon knew what they were getting into with the Hive Mind they would know what a flying tank would be like, or look up Olga Flow for themselves. Hell, I didn't even know what the Necromorph Hive Mind was until I looked it up on Youtube. Why can't anon do the same?

And before you go 'Then post a link' remember that I'm doing this from my Wii, which doesn't allow copypaste. I could do a typed description next time if I feel I can accurately describe it.

As for influencing the voting, yes I am guilty of that but I try to avoid doing it too often, only consciously doing it when the chosen option doesn't sit well with me. The vote to end the date with Yukari in Hakugyokuro early because of a few hitches was the most glaring example because I actively refused to write until something else was picked. I am aware of it as you said, but I'm not apologizing for it.

For the last part, I have included transformation options in the past as you said, but I stopped doing that because anon showed a preference for thinking up their own forms. The problem was that they started relying on certain forms despite the fact that there's an almost endless supply of forms to work with, with the exception of a couple voters pushing for something else, whom you'll notice I was encouraging. Adressing the lack of creativity that you seem to think this would cause, well, anon ignored the ready-made options most every time after the first, so how was that stifling creativity again?

Also, since this thread is so close to autosage I'll have a new one up later tonight. Though I won't say no to some assistance on the matter...

That and such a thing isn't the best for fighting along side allies. Reimu was creep-ed out enough by the Hive Mind.

>>28605
I sum it up more as "Oooh it looks cool, let's do eet." by the voters than a tactical decision.

Of course we should consider how much SDLT knows about said character, since that's kinda backfired on us (not in a severe way) with the Sol Transformation. (But we learned that Sol can't graze)

Ugh. I hate how short my debut prologue is.

Darkness suddenly faded away into light, and the sun gazed down upon your eyes. That… was all there was. Just this strange calming feeling, and the world around you. It was unclear who you were, what you were, why you were here, or where here even was. But it didn’t really feel like it mattered. This was life… you were alive. And oddly enough, that was all you really cared about. However, lying in one spot for a long time gets very boring, and so eventually other thoughts began to creep into your empty mind. Maybe just being here wasn’t enough. And if that were the case, it was necessary to find out some of these things. But one at a time was enough.

Choose:
[ ] Try and find out who you are.
[ ] Try and find out what you are.
[ ] Try and find out where you are.
[ ] Try and find out why you’re here.

A little short sure, but I do seem to have a trend for OPs here...

---

[x] "Yeah, no."
[x] Transform and initiate hyper-space jump. Target - The Hakurei Shrine. Make sure to bring Nari with you.

I don't exactly like the idea of crossing over before my time, but that does make me wonder how I'm going to get out of this since I don't have distance manipulation. Unless it's a universal reaper skill...

"Well, better get you acro- huh?" The poor shinigami didn't see this coming. "Man, don't tell me you can change form!"

"Heh, you better believe it!" Komachi wasn't holding onto me anymore, both figuratively and literally seeing as I wasn't me anymore. But changing one's shape into the master of death has its perks, such as being able to go toe to toe with another reaper.

"I suppose I can't just ask you to come along nicely." Komachi looked a bit depressed at this little shock. "Man, why do you have to make this more work than it already is?" She's already trying to get in my face with her distance manipulation, but I'm already up in the air before she can tell what happened.

That's speaking too soon since chances are she'd be put in the village or Rinnosuke's shop, safe places.

And if Naomi ends up in Eientei she should be pretty safe, that and with Tewi as a friend there isn't too much to worry about.

Frick, I just had a big update all written out, and I forget to save the damn thing in case THP pukes up an error. Rewriting it tomorrow since I don't have any more time today.

Also, yes I do know [Part Five] hasn't hit auto, but I'd rather set up a thread for my next week or so worth of writing now than making anon do it again.

Also, apparantly THP didn't like the awesome pic of Kogasa I found, which appears to be the result of the error puke.

God dammit THP.

This is going to be in two parts, one hour just isn't enough to do this but I don't want to leave you guys with nothing either.

[X] Yuuka's got a point, I'm drunk enough to go 'screw modesty' not enough to do it with people watching.
-[X] Shinki seems willing enough, and I doubt she wants her daughter to walk in.

No, Yuuka's right. What am I, an animal? Sexy or not, in heat or not I can't just screw people out in the open where everyone else can see.
"Actually, I need to go do something if it's all the same to you guys." Best I can come up with, but Shinki backs off at least.
Yuuka raised an eyebrow at me, she must not have thought I'd listen to her indirect suggestion.

"What?" I really need to come up with something fast if I'm to get out from under the naked Makai goddess. Sucks that I'm partially drunk.

"Bathroom." One word and Shinki lets go. I seriously can't believe that worked.

"Not for what I think I hope~" In all honesty I do need to take a leak, and want to reserve my energy for someone who'd appreciate it.

[x] Try to stop by the Hakurei shrine just so you can pass on the good news regarding Yukari, of course leaving out the parts involving close contact of the large, soft kind.

This is rather odd to say the least, Kanako's usually serious about her image, Suwako's the type to just take it as it comes and enjoy life, and now that I remember her, Sanae kind of acts like a cross between a disciplinary force and a duaghter for the two goddesses. They've got a strange family relationship, that's for sure.

Still, I guess I ought to introduce myself and Nari at least. "I don't think I told any of you my name previously, so my name is Wade, and this is Nariko."

"Well met." Kanako seemed to be speaking for the group this time. "Do you remember us?"

"As luck, fate, or gathering would have it, yes." I managed to sit up properly with Nari on my shoulder. Who knows where Suika slipped off to. "Earth goddess Suwako Moriya, original owner of the Moriya Shrine before losing it to Kanako in a sense."

[x]Marisa did say spellcards are important in duels...
-[x]I could craft my own

Marisa said duels require spellcards didn't she? Well, clearly I needed some, but I didn't feel like heading back to the shrine for some. Given the gap yokai was still hunting around for me for reasons lost on me.
Come to think of it, I might want to make some to help deal with her.

"Why do I need to go to the shrine? Can't I just make my own?"

Cirno stopped her fruitless tugging to look at me.
"Well, sure! That's the idea, but do you know how?"

"Uhh, no..."

“Hey! Where are you~!?” Her annoyed voice echoed in the clearing. The cool fall breeze carried her words far and wide. I heard them as clearly as if she were standing right next to me. For the better part of the last half hour she had been looking for me, her childish voice bellowing out my name. It was annoying to be sure, especially since she was being more persistent than usual. I wished that she would just give up already. “Ok! You know what!? I'll just see you later! I'm tired of looking! And don't have enough to drink!”

Finally. She had given up.

I hugged my knees tightly as I wasted more time. The morning chill made me wish I had worn something thicker.

Still, I wondered where the air was leaking on in from. My hiding spot was, as far as I knew, completely separated from the outside, save for the one subtle entrance. Sure, a breeze could come from the outside, passing through the thick plants that hid the entrance to the small hole, but I had strategically placed a cloth to prevent any further infiltration.

Maybe it was me. I had grown larger since the last time I used this place. And that was a long time ago. Yeah, I was still going to the school back then. Not that it was too long ago, but it felt like an eternity already. This place was a real sanctuary.

I found myself reminiscing for a while thereafter.

When I was sure that she was gone, I started to get a move on. I crawled out of my little cave with a broad smile on my face. I had successfully managed to free myself from her grasp. She didn't stand a chance of finding me once we got to the village outskirts. Having been born and raised in these parts, I naturally knew them much better than she ever would.

The clearing was empty of anyone. The advantage of my hiding spot was that it was clear of any paths that the villagers used to move around. Occasionally, some people would come into the clearing looking for a shortcut, but the thick brush just beyond it quickly changed their minds. I dusted myself off and started to walk.

What the heck was she thinking to being with? I had grown used to her random visits over the past few months;

The only ones who wouldn't try something are Nitori and Momiji.

Kanako and Suwako might get the notion of trying to have him marry Sanae. Mima did make Arc a variable chess piece.
>> No. 26287
>>26286
Well, Nitori is a kappa and they're friendly to humans. She handled herself alright with Arc last time too (then again, she hadn't really paid much attention to him). Momiji would probably be pretty chilled out too and helpful.

An encounter with Suwako would be interesting. Although Kanackers would probably not show much interest right now given that she's sprawled belly up, surrounded by spent bottles of alcohol in her own shrine.

But well, none of that really matters the folk at the Moriya shrine are (understandably) not even a real factor in Arc's life at this stage.

It's time to see how helpful Suika's contact is. Expect a thread sometime soon (for real!) since autosage and all that stuff kicked in. The only thing that could distract me now would probably be drawing detective Suika, but I have no drawing skills to speak of so it's not an issue.
