Howdy inveterate masturbators and aficionados of frills and lace. People have been growing far too complacent round here -- it's time for another contest. I'm your host this time around seeing as how no one took up the reins this time.

Right then, from what I gathered last time people were proper catty at murky deadlines and faulty communication. Moreover, some felt that a week's worth of prepping and writing as lacking. Well you're getting two weeks for this one, along with a week's grace prior to the actual posting of the entry threads.

The categories remain the same: normal, vet, and smut. There are no limitations on genre, characters, or settings though there is but one exception to the rule. Two OCs at most will be permissible. For the sake of streamlining a work of FANFICTION, I put this challenge to delve into characters from canonical works. I invite any discussion on the matter and if enough of you turn tit's up over it, I'll rescind.

Now here's where you can cock up the process. Only anonymous entries will be accepted, for evident reasons, tripfagging warrants disqualification. After the stag night's over, authors are welcome to denounce disclose their identities. One entry per category, and length as much as you can congest in a solitary post.

After posting this I will allow for exactly one week to pass, Touhou-Project Mean Time, before entry can begin.
Best of luck you dapper aspirants.

Still not made, but it'll probably be in /shorts/ or /th/. Smut in /at/. There'll be links to the threads once they're created, so don't worry.

All relevant rules will be mentioned right? In a way where it'll be hard to misunderstand them.

Let's play touhou mTg!.

The google doc drive has everything you need to set up touhou MTG on taeblr and cockatrice(not actually needed, an option, read below)
https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B1CZ2Ai5gEW-VEJJdGt4VHdacUk/edit?pli=1

Taeblr: you just need the taeblr file to load. Actually only one person needs it.
http://taebl.com/
To do anything, click "create blank room". Ideally familiarize yourself with the interface and what how it works. This is the main obstacle to get over before you can start playing games proper. Doing this before hand will speed things up a lot.

The relevant features include: (try them all out)

-moving decks
-rotating and resizing decks
-saving "selected decks", "the table", or "everything"
-loading from file

So are many of these cards actually missing images? That's very jarring.
>> No. 11709
>>11706 Yes this particular set is missing a lot of pictures. It stopped bothering me pretty soon though. Once I start deck brewing, I only think about what the card does, rather than the art or lack thereof.

Not me. Art's important; it makes the cards sooo much more identifiable and recognizable.

On 08/06/2013, Ofri-helpdesk of #THP passed away, apparently from heart complications from what I understand.

I didn't know ofri that well, but this hits hard. So for those of you who've been to the chat and talked to him, and for those of you who are active there and won't know yet, we just... thought we would let you know.

I've had this information for all of ten minutes.

Ofri... you were quiet, but you will be missed. I know I will. Every night you asked, "anyone need help with anything?"

...goodbye.

Pic is Ofri's picture request to Stove.

For those of you who are having trouble playing DDC on WinXP/below due to the "not a valid Win32 application" error, here is a patch which fixes it.

Tested, seems safe, but do your own checks and use at your own risk.

What the fuck have you been writing about me, you little bitches? I'll have you know I graduated top of my family in spiritual training, and I've solved numerous incidents on Gensokyo, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in danmaku warfare and I'm the top Luna Shooter in the entire playable character cast. You are nothing to me but just another bunch of fairies. I will wipe you the fuck out with Spells the likes of which has never been seen before on this land, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me while hiding behind your electronic Shikigamis? Think again, fuckers. As we speak I am contacting the Yakumo family across Gensokyo and your trails are being traced right now so you better prepare for the bullet hell, maggots. The danmaku that wipes out those pathetic little things you call "continues". You're fucking dead, cunts. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my A Shot Type. Not only am I extensively trained in throwing amulets, but I have access to the entire arsenal of Spell Cards and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of this land, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little pieces of smut were about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking weiners. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn bakas. I will Hax Sign all over you and you will drown in bullets. You're fucking dead, kiddos.

You must be new here. Welcome to THP.

I would advise you don't bump old threads; this is almost universally looked down upon on the internet. If you would like to post in a thread without bumping it (although I see no reason to in the archives) you have to type "sage" into the email field.

Besides that, please read the thread titled "how to survive in THP" at the top of this board. It will give you some guidelines on what not to do around here if you want to avoid negative attention.

Of course, you may not be new at all and just felt like trolling. I'm too lazy to check. Good day to you.

We have a mechanics focused thread over in /blue/, but nothing more geared toward "fluff".

Post whatever ideas you happen to have here. Maybe someone will be inspired enough to make use of the ones you can't.

Anything to get the creative juices flowing is fine: stories you'll never get around to starting, scenes that never got written for whatever reason, scraps, character analysis, and so on.

So, invasion stories! Love 'em, hate 'em, don't care? Whatever! But have any been done from the perspective of the enemy leadership? Directing your troops against the forces of overpowered women in silly hats, taking territory, politicking, all that kind of thing?

So I have a few ideas for my next story, given that Favors Owed has hit its ending, and now just needs an epilogue. I do intend to continue writing at about the same pace I have been for the entire past year, just on a different story, and better, because I'm still a terrible writer. Better than I was when I started Favors, like then I was better than I was when I started Compensation.

So! I have some story ideas.

First off is essentially Gensokyo, on Space Station 13. Don't know what SS13 is?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7M-JPH5SOmI

SS13 is a hilariously fun game with the most horrendously terrible controls ever: it's written in the BYOND engine, which should tell you everything you need to know.

This story would be in an episodic format, with each "episode" being a "round". Continuity between the rounds will be mostly non-existent, but this story is pretty much 100% for comedy, and I think it'd be a nice break from the apparently macabre story that was Favors. Another advantage is that the main character can be absolutely who-the-fuck-ever, and I'll have that chosen by Anon. And since it's shortish episodes, I can be done with it a month in if it's a bad idea and I just don't want to do it anymore, without making it an abandoned, no-end story.

I'll have a job/org chart with touhous and their jobs soon, but you're always welcome to make suggestions. This will be based off of /tg/station where I play most of the time, and you can find the wiki at nanotrasen.com. I think it'll be a fun ride with very few consequences for if I completely fuck it up, as I am wont to do because I'm terrible.

Also Koishi gets the most important job on the station: Ian.

Downloads the author’s posts (or all posts) of a CYOA thread or full length story in three file types; doc, txt, or the original html with images.

The link to it is http://westisblue.com.

It is pretty self explanatory; though I can post a guide if anyone really needs it. This thread is open to bug reports, feature requests and, if you feel like it, intelligent feedback. Demands and other stupidities will be ignored.

The software is in beta, so it may not work that well.

If the website goes down for content changes, I’ll make a post here or a redirect on the site saying so.

Quick Background:
Originally I just wanted to make a single thread downloader for myself, but feature creep set in and after a while, I felt like some people of the community would like to use what I’ve developed (if it works well enough)

I did some stress testing across a couple of computers, and the downloader pulled through (15 threads per two seconds on average), but the webserver I’m using is more finicky than my last one, so we’ll see if it can survive.

Anyone know of any particular high-quality or high-traffic sites? They tend to put text files on uploaders instead of submitting to sites like fanfiction.net, especially if they're adult. No pixiv, unless you have specific authors in mind.

One of the big complains about UD works I've heard is that he tends to hamfist Christianity into Gensokyo. Only example I can think of is something along the lines of Yuyuko saying "No one can ever come back from the dead, except for one very special person". I think all of the touhous are stated/implied to believe in the Christian god, even though this wouldn't make the least bit of sense for the predominantly Shinto setting.
