So I recently finished reading Nihei Tustomu's "Biomega" story. What a head trip that was. I won't spoil anything for those who might want to read it, but I highly recommend reading it if you aren't squeamish.

After that I got to chatting with a buddy and things ended up on a Touhou tangent. Things went very downhill very quickly (I don't know much about Touhou, and he's a bit of a fan). Long story short, I made the dumbest bet of my life; "Give me two words of an idea and a name and I could write a half way decent story". He then told me "Biomega Crossover" and gave me a list of names to choose from. I'll let you guys figure out what that name was based on how the story goes. So, here I am, writing a nightmarish tale of Martian Zombies, Hot-Lead, Gene-Splicing, and little girls in frilly dresses.

DISCLAIMER TIME!: all of my information is what could be gleaned from some reading, the wiki, annoying fans, and some of the stories found here. I'd like to apologize in advance for shattering any hopes, dreams, childhood-innocence, and fanon that may or may not be entirely true.

And with that I leave you, Part one: Heavy Industry.

******

'In the year 3006, on February 26th, Toha Heavy Industries headquarters fell to an attack by the Public Health Service's Compulsory Execution Unit. After that, we regained communication with Toha Heavy Industries Team Kanoe, the near mythological team that was deployed first. At that time I learned there were only five of us across the entire globe.

That was a little over seven hours ago...

My name is Alexander Roman. I am an agent of Toha Heavy Industries Synthetic Human Bio-Weapon program from the UK production facility. and I have just entered the THI crater in search of salvageable equipment, and living personnel.'*

Autumn light trickled down through the leaves, which were persisting late into the season. Still, the leaves that had fallen formed drifts in line with the wind and found their way into the interior of Kourindou at every opportunity.

One such opportunity brashly opened my door, spilling heavy metal-bound books from the tower that obscured her face, if not the crooked witch's hat she habitually wore. Marisa Kirisame, carefree hunter of other peoples treasures. I held back a wince at the thump of her dropping the stack on top of a chest several times my own age and thrust the broom I was just setting back at the girl. She was now adding the fallen books to the pile - oblivious to the creaking pleas of mercy from my venerable old chest.

"I'm not interested in buying." A lie, a quick glance had revealed their names, all were quite interesting tomes. However one in particular… was much more trouble than it was worth.

"Well, I'm not interested in sellin', I got these from that dusty library but I can't read them."

In Gensokyo, a small land with a small population, you would be forgiven for thinking that a library would be just a few shelves. But while it is only recently that the paper for making new books has become common, the long-lived youkai who came to this land all brought many treasures with them. These things have a habit of spreading around, due to the general carelessness of youkai.
In the human village, the Hieda family has and has made many collected histories of Gensokyo. The schoolhouse teacher also. But neither library would be dusty, so I conclude that she means that vampire's mansion, supposedly the library there is larger on the inside than out.
In such a case, I can understand it being constantly dusty. Clean things attract dust, so having a large space hidden in a small one would surely magnify the effect.

"In that case, I am definitely not interested in buying. I have sold many books to the familiar of that librarian, I doubt she would be pleased."

"And I said, I'm not interested in sellin' 'em. I just wantcha to tell me

A deep breath through the nose fills your lungs with air and your mind with the smells of the forest around you. In the distance, you can hear the chirping of recently awoken birds, broken only once or twice an hour by the roaring of the various beasts that inhabit these lands.

A ray of morning sunshine pierces its way through the shady leaves above, the final straw in bringing you to fully awaken. You open your eyes and take in the surroundings, to the left, right and all other directions there are trees hundreds upon hundreds of them. Their amber and orange leaves stretch on for miles. Forming a literal ocean of autumn color all about you. No matter how many times you've seen this sort of a sight, whether you were in Gensokyo, Africa, Europe or the Americas it never cease to be breathtaking. You can only hope that such things never begin to bore you, as compared to this splendor, what else could possibly bring as much amazement?

You are of course exactly where you were the night before, over thirty feet above the ground on the branch of a tree, leaning back against the trunk of that very same tree. It's one of the taller ones you've ever seen, there's still at least ten feet more above you...and like all the others it has nearly all of its leaves turned that wonderful autumn color.

Yet more captivating than the forest itself is your target for this journey: the mountains surrounding Gensokyo, and the ever shimmering barrier which stands atop them. According to legend, one of the oldest Youkai in the land makes her home somewhere within that barrier, and if you want to get out of here before the winter sets in and traps you for the rest of the year, she's the one to see.

It's such a shame that the only reason you're able to enjoy this lovely sight is because...well, you don't really have a choice. Do you?
Or, maybe you do...it all depends on the odds, your wits, and a heaping helping of blind optimistic courage.

You push yourself up, carefully balancing against the trunk as you rise to your feet. You grip one edge of the tree as you lean over the other side, getting a look at the ground fa

A story of a wealthy businessman separated from his assets. And his first name.

------------------------------------

[X] “This satellite should be donated to the villagers. Even if they can’t use it for what it was made for, they can still probably use the metal from it for something.”

Patting the satellite a few times, you give Reimu a wide smile. “Think about it, these villagers could make some interesting stuff out of this satellite. Hell, I doubt anyone here needs a radio anyway. I doubt you even have radio stations and radio towers.”

Reimu only stares at you, looking completely confused at what you’re talking about. Well, at least you’re glad that she’s busy wondering what you’re talking about instead of yelling at you for something stupid.

“Wilson, why not donate the satellite to me?” Reimu asks, “I could make use of a satellite too! I could make use of it better than this village would!”

>If not unlocked, it was still more than possible to discover Tabuki's true nature as an ex-toy, the dream itself simply answered the question abruptly, nipping the soul searching and 'what am I' angstiness right in the bud, as the answers just get shoved in the protagonist's face.

Ah, finally things make sense now. I thought Tabuki was actually asleep/sealed/similar, and her awakening was actually "coming back to the world" instead of "entering it for the first time".

But wait, if she was a doll, did she belong to the corpse at the beggining of the story? Dolls can't move on their own when they are still just dolls.
>> No. 141384
>>141381

Yes. The corpse that Tabuki entombed was that of the girl who got killed there, her owner and 'mommy', of sorts, who took her along wherever she went.

It's not really clear, looking back on it, but the girl is still hanging on tight to Tabuki with one hand while getting strangled, and only lets go, dropping her, after she's dead. Then the body got tossed into the little alcove to the side, et cetera.

[X] PANIC!

"Phantom Harbor!" I scream while I raise my giant anchor upwards. A flurry of anchors appear out of the sky and ram into the house.

In times of dire situations, destroy anything you know can't help you!

The house isn't obliterated, but there are a bunch of holes in it. The person floated towards the door I was in front of and slid it open. Surprisingly, she didn't break it or even slam it, it was a gentle push away.

"Hey, what are you doing? That's not funny." She exclaimed.

I subconciously apologize to her. "Sorry, I just... panicked."

“Did you hear me?” you hear Parsee ask from somewhere above you. “Hand me the knife, and I will take care of this for you. No muss, no fuss, nothing more for you to worry about! Well, okay, perhaps some muss...”

“A-ah, um...” Parsee stammers in response, sounding suddenly as if she had moved some distance away.

Why is that?
For that matter, why do you feel like something is holding you down to the ground?
Opening your eyes, you see it is because something is holding you down to the ground. Or rather, someone.

Straddling your abdomen, her legs holding your arms to your sides, you see Parsee sitting atop you.

“There isn't much time left, you know! Come on, give me the knife. Come on. Coooome oooon.” Parsee coos. To herself..

...huh?

Oh, right. There were two of them for some reason.

Hey, new author here, with a very odd idea that I had. Hope you enjoy it... and stuff. Don’t worry, we’ll be off to Gensokyo soon enough. Pic unrelated.

----
Your heart is pounding as you stand at the gates of the scrapyard. The large sign had been vandalised long ago, and is now covered in indecipherable graffiti and smeared with blood. You stare up at the corpse hanging from the metal arch. The corpse is horribly mangled; his arms and legs are little more than meaty confetti, and whatever’s left of his face resembled something you’d throw onto a grill. A large, grizzled looking crow lands on the dead man’s shoulder, and cocks its head as it inspects the carrion. With a sickening slurping sound, the crow jabs its black beak once, twice, plucking the man’s eyeballs out.

You hurry past it, the smell and the sight driving you away. As you continue forwards, you see more and more examples of the Fiend’s handiwork, hanging from makeshift gallows. Most of them are adults, but you think you see a child’s body, once or twice. You’re not too sure because the stench, and the sight, keeps you away. You barely suppress the urge to throw up.

In your heart, you feel an intense, burning hate for these bastards. You didn’t just take this job because it would pay well; you feel that these inhuman monsters lost their right to existence a long time ago, and you're all too willing to usher them from this mortal coil.

In the dead of night, you crawl through the scrap and trash on your belly, weapon in hand. You can hear the gang of Fiends below you. Thankfully, you’re far enough from their camp so that you can’t actually smell them, to your eternal relief. You can hear them shouting amongst themselves, cursing and laughing in equal measures. They were about as noisy as one could be without firing their weapons in the air indiscriminately, making it all too easy to keep tabs on them as you move along.

As you creep your way through the piles of scrapped cars, you take care to make as little noise as possible. Whether the Fiends could even hear you from here is a moot point. You’ve waited too long for this opportunity to fuck it up,
