In an effort to be more inclusive and consistent the names of the boards have been updated to better reflect the range of subjects that may be found under each. Hopefully this will help those who are having trouble with the suitability of specific characters/places in these boards.
As an aside, there is a tool made by a user which archives threads in an easy to read format available
here and more information can be found in this
thread.

If you've noticed the site not working as well as it should over the last few days, it's because of a large denial of service attack which has resulted in some unresponsiveness. In order to protect the site measures have been taken to ban attacking IPs. Most Chinese IP address ranges have been blocked as a result. Other more specific ranges elsewhere were affected so if you were accidentally banned from having access as a result and are now viewing this from your public library with a clenched fist, drop into IRC and ask to have your address removed from the list.

Rotating banners have been implemented for most boards. There are still some boards that do not have their own unique ones. If you feel like making a banner for the site, see the thread in
/gensokyo/ for more details. Any board is fine.
The FAQ has had some additions, so check it out.
Lastly, you can access our IRC channel from a Mibbit widget located in the IRC tab of the front page if you want. This is probably the fastest way to contact site staff about any issue or talk to most writers. Feel free to come on for whatever reason.

Policy on NSFW (Not safe for work) material is as follows:
1: Keep all images worksafe, other than those posted in /at/. This is mainly for the benefit of writefags/readers who are forced to use library or public connections to update and read.
2: NSFW writing and text is fine anywhere, obviously. Don't read this if you don't want to.
3: Do not visit /at/ if you are under 18, or do not wish to access adult material.
4: Illegal content will be met with removal of such and a permanent ban.
Update: NSFW material is postable anywhere, but if outside of /at/ a spoiler tag needs to be used for the image (click the check box in the post box tagged "NSFW" before uploading).

As you may notice, THP has been more or less restored to the way it was. Huzzah!
However, there are still some kinks that come from having had a slightly corrupt backup. You may notice that some thumbnails may not display correctly. This is being fixed with another backup and is a matter of time. Posting, naturally, works. Everything should be as it was, with the addition of
/gensokyo/ and
/underground/. In time we will do other minor cosmetic changes, and fix any issues that crop up or that we overlooked.
If you do notice any really strange behavior or a massive failure of any sort, you're welcome to report it on irc or email an admin.
Enough of the boring details. Enjoy!

/gensokyo/ is our general board while
/th/ is our general story board. There are a few more details in a sticky in /gensokyo/, which will be used to communicate updates to the site and any additional nuances.
Update: If you wish to move your thread to another board (ex. to /underground/, or from /gensokyo/ to a story board) go ahead and ask your local friendly admin (HY, Kapow, Zer00). Just note that the thread and post numbers will be different on the new board.
